Meet Alexis Garcia

We recently connected with Alexis Garcia and have shared our conversation below.

Alexis, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I think my resilience comes from a mix of faith, my cultural roots, and life experiences. Growing up in a Hispanic family, I witnessed a deep sense of strength and perseverance—qualities that are woven into our heritage. My faith is a big part of what keeps me grounded, reminding me that I’m never alone in my challenges. Being a mom has also been a huge source of inspiration. Watching her step into her bravery pushes me to do the same. I know that every obstacle I overcome is not just about me—it’s about setting a strong example for her and honoring the values my family instilled in me. I draw strength from knowing that every challenge I face is an opportunity to grow and set an example for my daughter.
We didn’t have it all growing up and honestly, we still don’t have it all figured out. But what we do know is that—resilience is about pushing through, even when it feels like life is throwing curveballs left and right. It’s about learning from your mistakes and the hard times, and using that to keep going. Feeling like the underdog? Same here. Start where you are, work with what you’ve got and build from there. We are way stronger than we give ourselves credit for!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

We actually do a little bit of everything! The most exciting part is that everything we create is custom designed to fit your needs. From flower bars to personalized collectibles and piñatas, we love bringing ideas to life. Lately, table decorating has become our new obsession—it’s amazing how the right setup can transform an event!

We’re currently running a holiday package from 12/1 through 2/14, which includes a complete table setup, custom add-ons, and clean-up. While the package doesn’t include food or drinks, we make sure every other detail is handled so you can enjoy your event stress-free. If you’re curious, check out our work— we’d love to make your event truly unforgettable!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The qualities that were most impactful on out journey would have to be vulnerability, persistence, and accountability. Letting our guard down through art allowed us to connect with people in ways we never imagined. Persistence kept me going when the pressures of creating & meeting deadlines felt overwhelming. And accountability humbled us. It made us own up to those missed deadlines and come back stronger every time.

If you’re just starting out, my advice to you is this: Be proud of what you create! Be so locked in on your message that doubt doesn’t stand a chance. Have the awareness to know when you need to adjust, but also trust yourself enough to keep going. And don’t be afraid to make mistakes—those are often the biggest opportunities to grow. Keep dreaming and you’ll surprise yourself!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

We are always looking for new friends! Whether you’re a local catering business, photographer who’s growing their portfolio, or just someone who feels like we’d be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you. We’d love to connect with you!
