Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Raymond Lapietra. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Raymond, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My spiritual beliefs.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am Raymond L. LaPietra, and I have received your belowlisted message. I follow your wonderful magazine, and I have referred people to you for readership, from my large and active national and international network. I always enjoy the stories and content, and you have every right to be proud of what you have done with this contemporary and significant publication.
It gratifies me to know that one of my many models, Kindle Thompson, has submitted my name to you for consideration on your magazine doing a feature story on me and my accomplishments. I have owned magazines in the past and like you, I always wanted the best and most accomplished people when I did my “featured stories” on persons of high achievement. It now looks like I will enjoy receiving this honor with you and your great magazine. Thank you.
See a few images that I have attached and some belowlisted facts about me and what I have done in my over 42 years in business.
I am the Founder-CEO of Career Images Model & Talent Agency, Inc., a full-service model, and talent agency I started over 42 years ago (February 5, 1982). My agency, Career Images Model & Talent Agency, Inc. is the “longest-running” model and talent agency in the entire Midwest. Our agency represents models, actors, entertainers, celebrities, look-a-like and tribute performers, beauty pageant title holders, and more. At one point I owned and operated (5) five model agencies simultaneously, one in New York, another in Florida, and three in Kansas City, with Career Images being my main agency that continues successfully operating even to this day and beyond.
Being a “super-achiever”, I ran 3 careers for 7 years, and 2 careers for 10 years, all at the same time. I have owned and operated a sound and video production company, and two magazines, and I was a Deputy Sheriff for 5 years and a Police Officer for another 5 years (10+ years in law enforcement). I received many citations and achievement awards including an “Officer of the Year” award, for service beyond and in apogee of what was required. I have received multiple “Lifetime Achievement” awards from two U.S. Presidential Administrations and many national and international awards for business and philanthropy. I sit on many executive advisory boards as well.
I own a consulting company, I am a public/motivational speaker, a business success coach, and a trained dispute-resolution specialist, helping others solve legal disputes and more. I am also a published author, and I wrote a book, “3122 Greeley and Beyond”, a book sharing my abusive childhood, and how I was fortunate to overcome and become a successful businessman and philanthropist, helping others from what I learned in my life’s journey.
I have always cared about others, and I have lived a life of service to others, knowing that a life well lived is a life of assisting others. Each of us is created with greatness and unlimited potential and it is our purpose to exhaust our efforts of being all that we can be. I am known for being honest and a Mentor, motivating others to accomplish their best. I often say, “Good is the enemy of awesome”, so I never settle for good when I can do so much more.
I hope that you doing an article on me and my story will help and inspire others to know that they too have limitless potential to be and accomplish anything they want and desire. One of my favorite phrases I live by is “Good Better Best, Never Let It Rest, Until The Good Gets Better, and The Better Becomes Best”!
My office number is 913-681-7750 and my e-mail is modelman@careerimages.com. I anticipate speaking with you and becoming a part of your excellent magazine, where everyone benefits from what we can write and share. Blessings to you Stephanie, I await your response.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I have training and experience in negotiation, sales, marketing, and people management (more than 3). I also have legal training and skills.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Rather…What versus Who–My ability to learn, be creative in overcoming, obstacles, and my strong self-confidence.
