We recently connected with Jalinia Logan and have shared our conversation below.
Jalinia, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Believing in myself, putting the work in, and acknowledging the effort as well the progress, along with any opportunities for growth.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am currently a Therapistpreneur with a group private practice that includes two locations in Chicago and Atlanta. I am very proud of what I do because my job is to not only help the population of clients that I serve, but to also create jobs and various opportunities for other people as well. My practice is special because we help people with both their mental and medical health due to my extensive background and working in healthcare over the last 20 years.
My practice will also be offering a new upcoming program, providing specific support to clients and people who are exclusively looking to sign up to become Successful in working on their future careers. I will be offering guidance in ways to discover purpose, creating both mission and values, as well as teaching people how to create a brand and business that they can love. This opportunity will begin in the last quarter of the year around November 2024. The first program round will begin in 2025.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think the most impactful qualities and skills that were a part of my journey was the dedication, motivation, and consistency in building my business. I would encourage people to really write out there vision, create goals, and then develop a plan along with being very consistent about these things.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am currently in need as well as hoping to come across various entities and organizations who are looking to contribute towards mental health businesses and entrepreneurs that want to expand by taking mental health to the next level .
