Meet Lisa Pellegrene

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lisa Pellegrene. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Lisa, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

As long as I can remember, ever since I was a child, I focused on (and still do) what brings me joy and what makes my heart sing, so to speak. I have also learned, and I have explained this to others, that when we focus on the hopeful path and the blessings, we see more of that. What we focus on we will see more of, in my experience. I think when we count our blessings, we can find that this is just the start of so many blessings that we may not be able to see, that will come our way when we believe in them. I’ve gone through difficult times in my life, and this is how I can explain this… If we can only see a sliver of hope (and there is much more than we can often see in all reality) and we proceed in the direction of the hopeful path, we can see and one day realize that the hopeful path expands…we will see much good when we choose to believe in the good, It is the whole concept of taking leaps of faith too, when we have something good that we want to accomplish, we may not see the entire staircase at the onset, but taking the first step toward the good we want to accomplish is how we can see it come to fruition. So, by staying optimistic, we take an active role in seeking out the good, so more of the good can (and will!) present itself. I also think that realizing that life is truly a precious gift, makes one start from a place of gratitude and from that place, the good we can do in this lifetime is inevitable.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I focus on inspirational media, and the power of perpetuating work that uplifts, empowers and encourages others. I firmly believe and know that we need much more of that in the world, and through the media whether it be press or feature articles, books, or tv/film we have the power to inspire others through these mediums.

Through my work as an author, I have written Be Epic, Choose Love – The Inspiration Continues – this is all about the power and strength of standing strong with love, truth, empathy, hope, faith and compassion. We definitely need more love and kindness in this world, and that starts with each of us. Love is a choice that we make to proceed this way, and to always choose it – it is utmost strength. During the pandemic I wrote, A Glimpse into the Sunshine which is a collection of sometimes miraculous short stories from my own life, some involving animal rescue.

I run a publicity management firm where I do press articles, features and book interviews for artists, musicians, authors, entrepreneurs and philanthropists to help them elevate their reach and let their story be heard. It helps to attract more opportunity to do more of the work that each person loves to do. It is very powerful to utilize media for this purpose. Someone can be the most talented at something or have the best project, very worthy of support and this support can be achieved if more know about a person’s story.

I also co-write, edit, format, and publish inspiring books for people. This can be a biography, a fiction story or a children’s book, for example. I have worked with some people who had books in the works for decades and never had them published. It is very rewarding to help them accomplish something that they have wanted to do for a very long time!

I also work in TV/Film and have worked on both sides of the camera as talent (Travel Channel, attached to a feature film currently to portray a doctor called Remember When, story by Carol Seguin) to production, and grant writing for documentaries or feature films with social causes. I am currently have two projects that I am working on – one forthcoming TV Series, Peace, Love, Unity Dance Troupe TV (Strive for Greatness) and Let Love Lead the Way, which is an animal welfare documentary, both are fiscally sponsored by From the Heart Productions. I am assisting on another TV Project titled, Growing Up Jacobs and additional documentaries – Reclaiming Purpose, featuring Voice Over Artist Steven Ham, and Saving Detroit (also fiscally sponsored by From the Heart Productions, a non-profit dedicated to helping filmmakers to bring their projects to fruition).

My professional work has helped to fund my ability to help animals. I started rescuing animals over 2 decades ago when I first moved to Los Angeles. I run an awareness org called Pittie’s Angels named after my dog who had the name Pittie when I rescued him from the shelter. It was love at first sight. I knew I had to bring him with me, the first day I met him at the shelter, He was my fur kid from that day on, forever and always. He is the reason that Pitties Angels exists. Pitbulls, Rottweilers …every animal often unjustly discriminated against for no valid reason ever, deserves love and compassion because that is what they are about! They are love.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think perseverance is key; as well as staying aware, yet always seeking the good, and having true empathy; these are some of the most important qualities that have helped me always.

Never give up, sometimes you have to pivot but never giving up on your goals, dreams and being a good human, and keeping the joy and love is so important. When you have love for yourself and others, always being discerning too, this is a serious source of strength.
Seeking the good and the blessings is so important and having compassion and true empathy for others, as well as remembering the importance of being kind matters. We never, ever really know someone’s story and throughout one’s life, being kind to yourself and to all others human and animal, well that just makes this world better. I have strong faith, and I have experienced many miracles and a lot of divine intervention in my life. When we set out to do good, utilize our God given gifts, live life with purpose and determination, proceed with love and kindness, work hard and pray for guidance we can accomplish much more good in life for ourselves and for others than we may have ever thought was possible, but it is possible.

How would you describe your ideal client?

I think my ideal client is someone who is determined to reach their goals and utilize their talent to the fullest extent possible. They know their value and they can see the value in others clearly too. They are respectful, kind, perseverant and they want to make a positive difference every day and through their work to help empower not only themselves, but others too. They are inspiring, bright, dedicated, easy going and on a mission to do a lot of good! 🙂
