Meet Guadalupe Perez

We were lucky to catch up with Guadalupe Perez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Guadalupe, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Developing my confidence and self-esteem has been a journey, and it’s something that I still work on to this day. For me, it started with recognizing my strengths and accomplishments, and celebrating those successes, no matter how small they may seem. I’ve also learned to be kind to myself and to practice self-compassion, which has helped me to develop a more positive and supportive inner voice. Additionally, surrounding myself with positive and supportive people who believe in me has been instrumental in helping me to build my confidence and self-esteem. And, of course, taking risks and stepping outside of my comfort zone has also helped me to grow and develop as a person.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

As a commercial photographer in Los Angeles and Orange County, I’m passionate about capturing high-quality visual content that tells stories and elevates brands’ online presence. What excites me most is the creative process of bringing a brand’s vision to life through images. I’m proud of my unique visual style, attention to detail, and innovative use of artificial intelligence (AI) in visual content creation. Currently, I’m exploring AI-powered photography solutions, collaborating with emerging artists, and launching new services like AI-generated visual content for social media. My goal is to empower businesses with impactful visual storytelling and continue pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation in my field.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I believe the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are resilience and adaptability, creative problem-solving and innovation, and continuous learning and personal growth. To develop these skills, I recommend embracing failure as a learning experience, practicing self-care and staying open-minded, encouraging curiosity and exploration, and seeking mentorship and feedback. My advice to those early in their journey is to focus on building a strong foundation in your craft, develop transferable skills, network and seek guidance, and stay adaptable and resilient – and most importantly, stay true to your passions and continuously seek knowledge and growth.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

I’ve been fortunate to have several mentors and role models who have helped me overcome challenges and develop essential skills. My family, particularly my parents, instilled in me a strong work ethic and encouraged me to pursue my passions. Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced photographers, creatives, and entrepreneurs who have shared their knowledge, expertise, and insights with me. Additionally, I’ve also learned a great deal from my peers and colleagues, who have provided valuable feedback, support, and motivation throughout my journey
