Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jamean Flowers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jamean, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I got my work ethic from my mother. Growing up we started working fairly young, and my mother was very big on showing up, having respect, giving your all, and having integrity.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Jamean Flowers, and I own Kidz Play STL which is a mobile craft & event planning service. We are honored to be a sensory sensitivity friendly business. We are also excited to announce we will be expanding our business into the soft play & adult crafts in 2025!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The qualities that I believe one should have to become successful is to be God fearing, resilient, and persistent. Those are the three qualities that continue to drive me toward success.

I would tell anyone that is starting their journey to trust in your God given talent. From the time I was little I have always loved designing, interiors, and planning parties. However, I have tried over 5 careers just for me to end up starting a business with my God given talent & passion. So my advice, as cliché as it sounds, is do what you love, even if it’s against the status quo.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

A book that has played an important role in my development has been, Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins. This is the best book for people that need help with paradigm shifts so they can reach their greatest potential. Another book that inspires me is, the Bible, with God we can do anything, no matter how you were raised, or what you have done, we all are human and we are all destined for success.
