We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Briieazy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with BriiEazy below.
BriiEazy, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
I never dealt with imposter syndrome until I lost my brother unexpectedly 3 years ago. It was a very unfamiliar feeling, and it was hard to explain to the people around me what it felt like. I made a vow to myself that I was going to grieve by doing things related to personal development. It was my fear to allow grief to consume me and stop my life. I don’t want to paint a picture as if I didn’t cry or have emotional days where I felt like giving up, however there was a choice made & I didn’t want to disappoint myself. Some of the things I relied on the most was my faith, the love I have for my children, the spirit and charisma my brother had, and lastly the craving to be more than my environment. To be transparent I believe you can overcome anything, but you will always have moments that come up where you will be reminded how you felt when you were overcoming a specific obstacle! To honor that is to acknowledge that my journey is not done. Strategies that help me stay on track is realization, accountability, reflection, and trusting your newer self. I spend a lot of time talking to God and getting into my Bible! I also read self help journals or books so that I can implement the new habits and healing I needed! One of the most overlooked things I did was surround myself around natural optimistic energy and people. When you are in vulnerable phases of life, you have to be mindful of what has access to you and what are you allowing to stay.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
In simple terms, I’m just another trauma kid trying to teach other trauma kids that we can be something and do extraordinary things. My background as a child had beautiful and dark moments. It completely is fitting for the career path I’m in now as a Business Consultant. My roots come from primarily Kansas City, however I’ve been partially raised in California which is a rivalry in itself. I have love for both sides, so if you ask me what team I rep, it will tell you Chiefs and Raiders! Traditionally I started out being raised in a 2 parent household and then my parents split when I was around the age of 2. As much as my parents don’t care for each other, they have a lot of similarities with being some of the top family members to complete college, and experience life outside of Kansas City, and have Government relative jobs for a long time. Forwards brothers and sisters, it was just me and my younger brother Oliver. He had a different dad, but we were raised in the same household. Me and my brother was not just organically close, we experienced so much trauma together that we had no other choice, but to be close. Trust that we were still very much normal siblings, we argued, and he would steal my food, or we would just get on each other’s nerves! However, I cherished how we stood up for each other and promised to not relive our childhood trauma or allow our kids to experience it. When I reminisce on our teenage years, we still had such a strong drive to not let our darkness over cloud our potential. It’s crazy how you are not raised to know ways to cope until you think about how you got through some of the most horrific scenarios in your life! I’m sure you can guess it….My mama was in an abusive relationship for over 10 years! This was one of the reasons why me and my brother had a united front!
As a teenager, I was always a self-starter! If someone told me something was impossible, I’ve always felt challenged to figure out another solution or resource. With a Cali spirit, I would mingle with all cliques in high school, and there was never not a moment I wasn’t being stopped in the halls to be a part of laughter & happiness. So, it’s safe to say I was doing okay… but what changed my life was when my Big Sister (Big Brother Big Sister Program) made it okay for me to see what I went through was terrible and not okay. As soon as I started to comprehend that the abuse I was dealing with was not just a part of life, I was angry for a while and then resilience kicked in! My angry path was so destructive that I became disgusted with blaming people and trying to fit the victim persona. This is when it clicked that I have to take control over my triggers and have a plan when those triggers become overwhelming. From there I created what my version of life should look like. Straight out of high school, I was hired on at my first corporate job. In that moment, I realized that between God & work ethic I was unstoppable. The fact I was offered a salary position before the age of 20 is not a little accomplishment.
Corporate world was beneficial to my professional growth. The things that I could not adhere to is the company constantly showing how they devalue their employees. Some of the corporations I worked for were doing unspeakable things! Taking portions of commissions that did not belong to them. Most people are just going to work because it’s a part of a ritual or routine, whatever term you would like to use. They don’t have the compacity or the time to look at all of the small writing, and that saying if the company was bold enough to tell them on paperwork. My last corporate job I decided to tell the employees what they were doing, and from that day I vowed I would not be a person that believes in working for them. In the same note, I’m absolutely grateful for the experience, and drive I obtained in that environment. Something I learned within the first 4 years of being in the corporate lifestyle is that the information on how the structure of a corporation is not being taught to Business owners. All the specs of having multiple departments, training employees, intergrading health benefits for your contractors, etc. were not being relayed to that audience. This is when I knew I could be the connector to that information!
Before you know if BriiEazy Consulting was born! I piloted my business idea for about 2.5 years, and that was strictly because as any consultant you are asking for trust. Trust takes time to build! I was blessed with people that believed in me and what I was doing. BriiEazy Consulting is the ultimate Boss Sanctuary. We pride our connections with Business owners and Entrepreneurs that trust us to create, navigate or operate their business with purpose & peace. During the pilot, it became real for me that this is exactly where I needed to be forwards career path! I like to encourage & support people during their obstacles, learning curves, and successful moments! Right now, I’ve been in an advantage that there aren’t a lot of people that do what I do in the way that I do it. It creates an unique environment for my clients to grow in!
2024 has been a beautiful workout to say the least! It has positioned me to have a thriving partnership with The Co-op at Shoal Creek which is a coworking space that I can connect my clients to if they have events, or new a virtual address, or access to conference rooms, etc. We officially have built a team at BriiEazy Consulting, that includes departments like business credit with MPLegacy, marketing analytics with Thies Marketing, Professional Branding photography with Jesse J Photography, Success Coaching with 100k Boss Academy, and we are still expanding. It was my objective to not have employees as the head of my departments, but other bosses like me that are an expert in their field! This is such a huge accomplishment for my existing clients and all of the new people we will be able to obtain for 2025. With a humble heart, I am so blessed to have each and every one that’s in my tribe right now!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The qualities that helped me pivot through obstacles rather if they were personal or professional was, discipline, adaptability and courage. We all deal with wanting to quick or could have possibly taken a longer break than anticipated. What matters is the discipline to get back on your goals and adapt when you become distracted and have the courage to push past your potential. The longer you live in your head with the “what if” questions the more you are deteriorating your initiative to just start. One of my most favorite youtubers I watched everyday would say “use what you have until you can afford what you want!” That resonated with me in various ways and the concept was not just for materialistic matters. A lot of us was taught to have the mindset that we need to be successful in this life. However, if we use it by exercising our mind, and nurturing it we can create a better mindset. It is the same analogy for a mind or an old phone.
My advice is program your brain to the life you want to live. If you need more knowledge listen to knowledgeable people , read books, tune into those podcasts while you are laying in bed. Don’t sike yourself out to think it has to be the newest books either, so of the most life changing books accessible were written before our time. Be serious about your growth!

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The Tools by Phils Stutz and Barry Michels.
This book came into my life when my brother died in 2021. I’m a documentary junkie and I was watching Jonah Hill’s documentary on Netflix. The whole documentary may seem boring to some, because it’s literally the set up of a therapy session. One of the main reasons I was drawn to watch the documentary was hearing Jonah Hill’s story of how he lost his brother and the mental and emotional strain that came with that journey. He valued his therapist so much during this documentary I felt safe to listen to his advice. Maybe a day or two later I purchased the book on Amazon and started reading it! Wow! To give you a short version is almost disrespectful, but in a gist of things it teaches you a new perspective on how to see your problems. The less we give power to a problem the more we can gear in on how to solve it. Once I started looking at my problems like an obstacle course, everything changed. Instead of dwelling about the issue, I would see it as a challenge to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. Life is going to work you, and if you are planning on a different scenario then you will struggle to succeed. So put on your best workout fit and let’s get it accomplished.
