We recently connected with Franco Gandolfi and have shared our conversation below.

Franco, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Since childhood, I have been captivated by the idea of standing before an
audience—teaching, performing, and sharing ideas. Despite being an introvert at heart,
I am deeply passionate about discussing my own learning journey, sharing knowledge,
and exploring solutions to the complex challenges of the world. My father also instilled
in me a lifelong commitment to continuous learning and the importance of imparting
wisdom to others. This early influence helped me discover my purpose: fostering growth
and development in people.
Moreover, my innate curiosity about the world, coupled with a strong desire to travel,
immerse myself in diverse cultures, and gain fresh perspectives, has fueled my ambition
to become a professional educator. These elements have coalesced into a steadfast
determination to pursue a career in higher education, where I can combine my love for
teaching with my drive to inspire and empower others on their own journeys of learning
and discovery.

So yes, Hi, My name is Franco Gandolfi. My journey began amidst the picturesque
landscapes of Switzerland. However, life’s call for exploration and adventure soon took
me across the globe. In my 20s, I embarked on a life-changing adventure, migrating to
Australia, and later to the United States, driven by a deep-seated desire to help people
grow and enable organizations to thrive.
At the core of my identity lies a passion for teaching and making a meaningful
difference. Whether it’s empowering individuals or transforming businesses, I am
dedicated to helping others unlock their potential and achieve their purpose. My days
are fueled by the pursuit of creating value and contributing to a better, more sustainable
world.
As a lifelong learner myself, I find immense joy in exchanging ideas and perspectives
with the incredible people I encounter. The richness of cultural diversity and the
unparalleled experiences of traveling the world have been invaluable sources of
inspiration, shaping my journey and reinforcing my commitment to making a positive
impact.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Great question. Looking back, I think focus, intention, and determination, which are
interrelated principles and essential for achieving goals and driving success in personal
and professional endeavors, have helped me navigate through life.
Life is fundamentally a journey of self-exploration and self-discovery. To make a
meaningful impact or contribute significantly to society, we must first achieve a deep
understanding of who we are—our values, purpose, strengths, and limitations. Only by
knowing and leading ourselves can we authentically inspire and serve others.
In leadership terms, this principle is even more profound: "Leadership is not about us,
but it begins with us." True leadership is never self-centered; it is rooted in service,
empowerment, and the elevation of others. However, the foundation of effective
leadership lies in self-awareness, intentional growth, and the ability to align our actions
with our core values. Without this internal clarity, our efforts to lead and influence others
may lack authenticity and deep purpose.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

My family has been the cornerstone of my emotional foundation, providing me with
unconditional love and unwavering support through every triumph and challenge,
embracing me for who I am despite my flaws and imperfections. From an early age, I
discovered a deep sense of purpose—a mission that has guided my journey and taken
me to extraordinary places around the world. To date, I have had the privilege of exploring over 100 countries and serving in nine across the globe. Each experience has profoundly enriched my perspective and strengthened my commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact.
Rather than dwelling on weaknesses, I have chosen to focus on cultivating my passions
and leveraging my strengths. This intentional approach has allowed me to contribute
authentically and confidently, staying true to my purpose while creating a lasting impact
in every endeavor. My journey has been a testament to the power of embracing one’s
unique path and the unwavering support of those who believe in you.
