King , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I began my confidence journey during the early 80ies as a young student and fan of NY HipHop that was being played over the airwaves. As a teenager, living in Tacoma Wa , my time was spent watching television and playing sports but also mimicking break dancers and DJs . By the late 80ies I was a aspiring B boy and Dj , building my first Dj casket with a built in Drum machine and mic during high school shop class (10th grade). I then started djing and writing rhymes forced into being a local battle rap artist of Tacoma and traveling to local schools and destroying all MCs in my path with clever and creative rhymes with a touch of political madness ! By the 90ies my skill as a hip hop artist traveled far . It was Ice T and Sir Mix A Lot who encouraged me to continue my journey as an artist. I was then signed to a local record company out of Seattle Cold Rock Records who quickly got us a distribution agreement with a larger record company called NastyMix Records home of Sir Mix A lot (1990) . My group was called Criminal Nation. We had a few recordings that charted and videos on BET but it was short lived due to corruption and greed of the label executives.
The rest is just the beginning of my incredible journey as a conscious recording artist and father of 5 beautiful sons and daughters.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My business started during Covid 2020 . I just got laid off from a Moterhome sales position and fear and terror began spreading all over the television. My beautiful Wife suggested and assisted me in finding a new hobby vibration that would be beneficial to our survival and humanity. . We started on ordering supplies to create and design resin pyramids with crystals and copper wire wraps. It was until the Oder got to intense for the house and our health to continue, so I stumbled in to designing jewelry ?
I started wrapping copper wire around several crystals and creating Earrings , rings and Pendants and bracelets.
My style really changed when I stated using bigger 10” 12” and 14”gauge wire and larger crystals to make incredibly dope heavy statement pieces. My creation process has been routine and Ritualistic. Music , incense, peace, HipHop and Afro beats, infused protection, healing and deep meditation to manifest a unique and artistic jewelry line called DeffJemz. Each piece of jewelry is hand crafted with little tools , combined crystals and amazing but simple details providing a positive impact on the wearer immediately. Every client is smiling and feeling like they found a dope piece of jewelry but also meeting, one cool energetic person known as Wojack The Jewler! Of DeffJemz.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The 3 most important qualities and attributes to possess is
1) Trusting and believing in your self and your Abilities to be great. Never forgetting your power !
2) Consistency- Being on time , setting a schedule and sticking to it will allow your people to trust you and spend their money with you consistently.
3) Stay focused, with all the different distractions in the world , set a goal , see the goal and execute a plan. The universe will always meet you in your destiny!

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is the average person who doesn’t yet understand the spiritual and metaphysical world of crystals and stone protection jewelry. and how super important it is to humanity to return to its roots. However , I also want clients who know the power of copper and crystals being worn daily for protection and healing but also have a glow of their own! I would like to adorn Queens like Ms Badu or Kings like Mr Erving with Crowns , Pendants, rings , bracelets and PowerStaffs . I also would love to see my brand globally recognized and respected allowing me to focus on creating new music and plays. I truly believe I got something for everyone !
