Meet Tatyana D’voce

We recently connected with Tatyana D’voce and have shared our conversation below.

Tatyana, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I owe my resilience to my parents and, most importantly, to God. Growing up, my life was filled with challenges, but we always managed to get through them, guided by God’s faithfulness and grace. My parents showed me what it meant to persevere, no matter how hard the road was. With God’s strength, they faced every obstacle and passed that strength on to me. Now, resilience is deeply embedded in who I am. No matter how tough things get, I know there will always be a way to bounce back, because I’ve seen what faith, love, and unwavering resolve can do.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am Tatyana D’Voce, a Canadian artist born in Toronto with a deep passion for live performances and diverse musical styles. My journey as a performer has allowed me to captivate audiences worldwide with a powerful and unique voice that blends the richness of disco, pop, rock, and Latin music. One of the most exciting aspects of my work is connecting with people through music that crosses cultural boundaries and genres, leaving a lasting impression wherever I perform.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of receiving international recognition, such as being awarded Best International Artist at the “Ancla Dorada” Awards in Ecuador and performing for audiences as large as 60,000 people during the Fiestas de Guayaquil. These milestones have been a testament to my commitment to creating memorable experiences through music.

Currently, I am thrilled to share that I’m working on one of the most significant projects of my career, a new album featuring a fresh and evolved sound—Tatyana 2.0. Additionally, my latest single, *Invítame A Un Baile*, releases on December 16, 2024, across all digital platforms. I’ll also be embarking on a radio promotion tour in Ecuador in February 2025.

To my audience and supporters, thank you for being part of this journey. The joy of performing and creating music for you is what drives me to push boundaries and continue to evolve as an artist. Stay tuned for more exciting updates, and I hope to see you at one of my performances soon!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are versatility, resilience, and connection. Each of these has shaped my career and allowed me to grow as an artist and individual.

1. Versatility: My ability to adapt to different genres and cultures has been a cornerstone of my career. Performing disco, pop, rock, and Latin music has not only enriched my artistry but also allowed me to connect with a wide audience. For those early in their journey, I recommend exploring different styles and challenging yourself to step outside your comfort zone. The more versatile you become, the more doors will open for you.

2. Resilience: The music industry is filled with highs and lows, but resilience has been my anchor. Whether it was performing for tens of thousands in Ecuador or navigating the challenges of launching new projects, staying focused on my passion and goals kept me moving forward. My advice? Embrace setbacks as learning opportunities. Resilience isn’t about avoiding failure; it’s about using those moments to fuel your growth.

3. Connection: Finally, building genuine connections—with your audience, collaborators, and mentors—is invaluable. My collaborations, such as performing at multicultural events like *A World Away*, and the ability to convey emotion through my music have been pivotal. For those starting out, invest in building authentic relationships and never underestimate the power of sharing your story through your craft.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to stay curious and committed. Learn from every experience, cultivate the discipline to keep growing, and surround yourself with a community that inspires and supports you. Every step, big or small, contributes to your growth and sets the foundation for your future success.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

In addition to my artistic growth, this past year has been a profound journey of personal transformation. I’ve grown from being self-conscious and scared to embracing vulnerability and prioritizing my mental health. Opening up about my struggles and seeking therapy has been life-changing, allowing me to heal, grow, and understand myself on a deeper level. This journey also led me to rediscover my relationship with the Lord, who has become my unwavering anchor through life’s challenges. Reconnecting with my faith has given me strength, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose, not only in my personal life but also in my music. This balance of self-care, faith, and artistry has been the foundation of my growth and the inspiration behind the music I create today.
