Meet Jacquelyn Prattipati

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jacquelyn Prattipati. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jacquelyn, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

Finding my purpose took time—decades, in fact! I didn’t launch my business until my 40s, after years in corporate America. While I enjoyed many of those roles, they weren’t truly fulfilling—I wanted something more. Fashion had always been a passion of mine; I was the go-to for family and friends seeking style advice.

It wasn’t until I left my full-time job after having my daughter that I had the space to explore new opportunities. I began styling part-time for a subscription service, eventually stepping into a full-time leadership role. That’s when I realized style was about so much more than clothes. Helping women feel confident and amazing through their wardrobes was the fulfillment I’d been searching for.

Not long after leaving that role, I launched my personal styling business, JGP Styled Me, to continue empowering women through style.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m the founder and personal stylist behind JGP Styled Me, a wardrobe styling service dedicated to helping women in midlife rediscover and feel amazing about their personal style. Midlife can be a challenging phase, and as someone living it myself, I deeply understand the unique struggles that come with it.

What sets my services apart is my highly personalized approach—I work exclusively one-on-one with each client. I really get to know her and her lifestyle so I can truly help her transform her style. A cornerstone of my process is the style discovery phase. This step is essential because many women in midlife find that their style has evolved, leaving them unsure of what reflects their current selves. Some even share that they’ve never felt they had a true sense of style at all. Together, we uncover what makes them feel confident and empowered, creating a style they love.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three key areas were instrumental in my journey: understanding body shapes and sizes, strong communication skills, and accountability.

A deep understanding of how different silhouettes and fabrics work for various body types has been invaluable. It allows me to help clients feel confident in their clothing choices, showing them how to dress in a way that complements their unique features. This knowledge didn’t come overnight—it involved a lot of study, practice and a genuine curiosity about what makes each person feel their best.

Strong communication skills have also been critical. Styling is as much about listening as it is about advising–perhaps even more so. Understanding my clients’ needs, lifestyles and preferences helps me create solutions that truly work for them. Developing these skills meant actively seeking feedback, learning to ask better questions and always being open to improvement.

Finally, accountability has been a cornerstone of my success. Building trust with clients—and with myself—requires consistently showing up, delivering on promises and maintaining a high standard of work. As my own boss, I have no one to answer to but myself so holding myself accountable is critical.

For anyone early in their journey, I’d advise prioritizing continuous learning, honing your ability to listen and connect and always holding yourself to a standard of excellence. These qualities improve your craft and help build strong, lasting relationships.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I would love to connect with other entrepreneurs whose clients are women in midlife, especially those whose work aligns with personal styling. This could include health coaches, nutritionists, life coaches, therapists, personal trainers, photographers or boutique owners, for example. Collaborations that bring value to women navigating midlife—whether through style, wellness or personal development—are especially exciting to me.

If you’d like to explore potential collaboration ideas, please connect with me on Instagram @jgpstyledme or email me at [email protected]. I’d be thrilled to brainstorm ways we can support and empower women together!
