We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ms. Kash a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ms. , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I keep my creativity alive by trying new things. I’m never afraid to do things out of the norm. I feel that’s what being creative is all about. Not being afraid to take risks.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I was born and raised in Oakland California. I started recording professionally about 6 years ago. I love being in the studio and being creative overall. I also love being on stage. The energy from the crowd feels amazing. Currently I’m preparing to release my debut album titled “In My Bag”. I’ve really taken my time putting it together. I want it to reflect all sides of me and my journey. I also released my single “Can’t Fold” which is doing extremely well. It’s doing so well I’ve had to push my album release date back to focus on “Can’t Fold” only lol. That’s totally fine with me!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most important things that helped throughout my journey where, ambition, consistency and hard work. Staying consistent definitely was the main factor. If you want something you definitely have to keep at it and work hard!
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth this year has been becoming more visible. I’m always behind the scenes creating. This year I’ve filmed two music videos which is huge for me lol. I’ve also been releasing short videos for my 30 day #CantFoldChallenge daily on social media. This is new for me to be in front of the camera so much. But I’m a firm believer in doing something you’ve never done to get something you’ve never had!
