Meet Vi Nguyen

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vi Nguyen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Vi , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic is from remembering my routes and those who supported me from before.

I’m thankful for my mom, dad and sisters for inspiring me to be the best version of myself. I’m also thankful for my close friend Jaime for inspiring me to improve as well as my first fans Unity (@unityjackson) and Melody (@melodyofherseoul) for believing in my work. Last, I want to thank Flo (@theblendedbeauty) for helping me to improve and define my page and purpose.

To me, work ethic comes from realizing I will always be a student of life and continue to improve in ways that I can.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a beauty creator based in Los Angeles. My goal is to share the best of beauty for those who have dry/sensitive skin like myself. What I feel is most exciting about it is sharing my product recommendations, artistic makeup techniques, as well as snippets of my daily life to those who are interested in watching. I also collaborate with brands to share upcoming new launches!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think the three most important qualities, skills or areas of knowledge are the following:

1.Purpose
2. Passion
3. Being a lifelong student

I think we creators, it’s important to understand and be okay with the fact that we might not know everything or that there are areas of improvement. We are always learning and it’s okay to embrace that.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

I think my biggest area of growth is my content. I love working with Flo (@theblendedbeauty on instagram) as she inspired me to reconnect and re-define what my purpose is a creator. By sharing my product recommendations, it’s a way to build trust and understanding with the community.
