We were lucky to catch up with Denise Bayron recently and have shared our conversation below.
Denise, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I’ve cultivated confidence through persistent practice. I’ve embraced failure as a stepping stone to success, viewing it as a catalyst for growth. Fear shows up as a frequent companion, but every time I’ve overcome fear, I’ve reinforced my conviction in my potential.
My self-esteem, however, is rooted in a profound understanding of my true Self. My connection to Spirit empowers me, ensuring that my worth remains unwavering, even in the face of setbacks. As Oprah wisely said, “I know who I am and WHOSE I am.” This unshakeable inner knowing is the foundation of my personal power.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

This interview feels like a serendipitous nudge to finish it and share my latest creations with the world.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I believe the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been curiosity, business acumen, and intuition.
Curiosity: I’ve always been eager to learn new skills. I started by teaching myself to knit, sew, embroider, crochet, and macrame through online tutorials and workshops. While self-taught skills are valuable, formal training in sewing and pattern-making elevated my craft to a professional level.
Business Acumen: Running a creative business isn’t just about talent; it’s also about understanding the business side. I recommend that you read books, find a mentor, and get a team of financial professionals to help you with the administration of your business.
Intuition: I’ve learned to listen to my gut, even when it contradicts conventional wisdom. Let your inner compass guide you, and do what feels good. If it’s not a hell yes, then it’s a no.
These three things work together: curiosity can lead to new ideas, business acumen helps you turn those ideas into reality, and intuition guides you in making the right decisions at the right time.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I prioritize self-care. My daily routine includes meditation, journaling, and a plant-based diet. I also find that fasting and regular exercise help to clear my mind. Limiting screen time and maintaining a clean and peaceful living space are also essential for my well-being.
One of the most effective strategies for me is to connect with nature. My happy place is anywhere near a body of water. When stress starts to pile up, I find solace at the beach. The vast ocean puts my worries into perspective, reminding me that my problems, while significant, are just a tiny ripple in the grand scheme of things. You can find your own personal sanctuary, whether it be a cozy garden or a peaceful park.
My last piece of advice is to prioritize meaningful relationships. Genuinely nurture your relationships. Life is about love. Without it we have nothing.
