Meet Javier Sabanza

We were lucky to catch up with Javier Sabanza recently and have shared our conversation below.

Javier, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Well, my optimism always comes from my ability to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, that’s how my professional career began, I got a job out of a bad moment.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’ll tell you all about myself, in general terms, I can tell you that my name is Javier Sabanza, better known as JavitoGraphics, I’m 36 years old and I’m from Spain. I’m a graphic designer specialized in automotive design, I make drawing versions of cars.
Let’s start at the beginning, since I was little I always liked to play with Photoshop, I even participated in some contests, but I never won anything… hehe
In 2020 (before COVID-19) I worked for a car repair shop, I worked with a van. But I had an accident with one of my motorcycles, because I love motorcycles, I hadn’t said it, right? Well YES, I like them a lot and I’ve had several!
The accident left me with damage to one leg and one arm, which caused me to lose my job, and I was granted work disability, but it wasn’t enough, I had to save my ass, I wanted to buy a house, make my own life and look for a stable future.
My partner, friends and family encouraged me to create what is now my job and my passion.
I opened my Instagram account to see what would happen… and look now, more than 160k followers… Facebook, TikTok, etc! It’s amazing!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think the 3 most important qualities for me are discipline, consistency and imagination.
What would you say to people who are just starting out? To never give up, to fight and always try a little harder!

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

My personal brand, I have focused on making my brand known, I have grown a lot on social networks, I never imagined that I would be known worldwide… it’s incredible, and that makes me strive and improve more and more!
