Brent, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Growing up as a very shy child, it took time. Years to get my self – esteem to where it is now, being in uncomfortable situations in life, forcing myself to be social. One of the best decisions I have made in life.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Well I’m from Atlanta Georgia, an that’s where it all started, I been doing music since a child , singing in tune choir, for Ebenezer Baptist Church, so I have always had a love for music, music even runs in my blood even being related to the late great Little Richard. I decided to be a hiphop artist at the age of 15, but I always had a deeper love for rap than any other genre. I am a solo artist and also in a group called D.H.I. An also started a label called D.H.I. Entertainment. Music was my first love and think I would have been lost without it
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Staying consistent, always stay hungry for more weather it’s knowledge, or just seeking advice for the field/ fields you are in. Never give up when you get discouraged, if it was easy to obtain everybody would be successful at it. An always have goals set.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
GOD has been the most helpful. He put the right people around me and situations. GOD has also blessed me with a supportive family that allowed me to chase what it was that I wanted without any backlash.
