Meet Nikki Mungues

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nikki Mungues. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nikki below.

Nikki, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

My UPBRINGING & MINDSET. I have been an athlete from the age of 5 years old & I typically would say I got my self confidence from being an underdog in the sport. But I really got my confidence from my upbringing, my parents, most especially my mother. They both always SPOKE belief in me in whatever I wanted to pursue in life. I think that it’s so important to be mindful of how you speak to your kids especially at a young age.

My mindset is everything to me because I believe how you THINK is how you LIVE. I tell myself everyday that I am amazing, I am a great leader, I am a Child of God, I am beautiful. Some people would think that is a form of being cocky but I believe that it is one of the essential keys in helping me build my confidence. I’ve always wanted to become the type of energy that I want to attract, so I became it!

I was fortunate enough to coach alongside Kobe Bryant at one of his last clinics before he has passed. Just being in the same space as him showed me how effective your energy can be. His entire career was based off of his MAMBA MENTALITY. Which to me is defined as having a WINNING mentality. In order to WIN you must already know you’ve WON. He taught us to always be able to dream big and believe in yourself no matter that! I think that ties in with building your self esteem as well. Belief turns into CONFIDENCE.

Also, the more I mature as a woman, I get closer to God. I know that i’m made in His image and i’m here for a purpose and thats what helps me know that I am one of one. That’s why I appreciate and take advantage of every second i’m here on earth.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Just like Oprah, Bob Proctor, Ed Mylett, they all have mastered their craft and became someone people look up to because of their voice & impact. As an athlete turned business owner in direct sales, I want to be able to inspire many people in this world just like them so that those can reach their full potential with business & their personal life. I am focused on building my brand as a speaker & showing the world how life changing this direct sales industry can be and also know how to WIN in life even off the court. I want to be able to teach others to know how to build wealth starting with forming habits to succeed such as being disciplined & having the right mindset. When people think of Nikki Mungues, I want to remind them of the word RELENTLESS. Become relentless within yourself, your business, personal life & so much more!

My current business is called Ohana Air Inc. The product we sell is the Rainbow which is the World’s Best Water Based Cleaning System that’s been in the industry since the 1930s. It’s an air purifier, vacuum cleaner, sanitizer and so much more. I’m passionate about taking this product and business more to the online space such as social media as well as making the direct sales industry a fun culture to be in. Sort of like to create a self development university but also teach people how to generate income at the same time with this business. I learned that I don’t want to mold & develop “sales people” I want to be able to mentor “good people” who are coachable in business. As much as this product can help with peoples health it can also provide an opportunity to change peoples lives to provide more freedom. Help them become business owners themselves, become business mentors & coaches just like me so that they can have the opportunity to have freedom with their finances & time. My goal is basically to become a walking billboard and encourage more individuals to get into the direct sales space and entrepreneurship. It is really all a mindset though that is why I think self development is so important. I plan on opening 10+ offices just in the Los Angeles area within the next couple of years and to be able to help many people with my sales & business training. As being one of the most populated cities in the world, I think that there is so much space for individuals to check out this business opportunity.

While I am currently working to build my business I also am working on speaking engagements all over the world as well. Hope I will be able to speak globally most especially in my home country, the Philippines one day as well and let all the young filipina women know that anything is possible!

One of my main speaking engagements will be on February 8th, 2025 which is called The Champions Event focused on those who want to level up in the direct sales industry. This event is for business leaders, business owners, striving entrepreneurs & anyone who is willing to expand their knowledge on business. We will be having Daniel G, who is labeled to be the World’s #1 Sales Trainer. Make sure you get your tickets at www.thechampionsevent.com

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Emotional intelligence- This is a skill i’ve forced myself to learn through my journey of entrepreneurship. You cannot let your emotions get in the way with your goals. It’s hard but it’s a decision you have to make everyday. There are days that you don’t want to show up for work but have to, don’t listen to your emotions if it leads you to not fulfilling your dreams. Take a break in needed. But I highly encourage individuals to master the mind to become stronger than your emotions.

2. Mental toughness – Start practicing this in the gym if you don’t know where to start. Force yourself to go one more rep on your workouts. With this, you will be able to push yourself in your business, life and so much more. You become a champion in your mind first before anything else. I was able to become a 2X Worldwide sales champion with this skill. I set a goal in my mind and did whatever it took to accomplish it.

3. Patience – Learn how to be patient with people because people are ones who will help you build your business. Be patient with how they are. Not everyone is coachable the same way. One tip with being patient is learning to accept things you cannot change and being able to work your way around it.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

This one is simple. God. I look to Him for help. I trust Him for all the decisions I make. I give all the credit to Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6
