Meet Amy Rodriguez-saenz

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amy Rodriguez-saenz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Amy , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from all the experiences around me….but most importantly the genuine connections I’ve made with the people in my life. I believe that each piece of content I create has the potential to make a positive impact on someone’s day. When I hear feedback from my audience, it reminds me that every effort counts. Even with a smaller following, I know that I have become apart of something meaningful, and that keeps me motivated and hopeful. It’s the small, authentic interactions that truly fuel my passion and optimism.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Professionally, I am a MBA student with a deep passion for beauty and wellness. After graduating undergrad, I had the opportunity to work for a small skincare brand as a Marketing & Sales Associate, where I gained experience working directly with beauty influencers. That experience sparked my own interest in the world of user-generated content, what we know as UGC. I saw how impactful authentic content could be, not just in marketing but in truly connecting with people. This inspired me to create my own platform, where I focus on beauty, wellness, and self-care.

What excites me the most is the opportunity to share what I’m genuinely passionate about and see how it resonates with others. Even though my community is small, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Pacifica, a well established beauty brand. That’s been a huge milestone for me!! It’s exciting to see how far I’ve come and even more exciting to see where I’ll go.

Looking ahead, I’m focused on expanding my content to be trendy and unique. I’m also planning to deepen my brand partnerships and explore new ways to collaborate with companies that align with my values. I’m really excited to continue this journey and to see how I can continue to make a positive impact on my community, no matter the size.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three qualities that have been most impactful on my journey are consistency, resilience, and flexibility. Consistency has been key in building my brand because even when progress feels slow, showing up regularly has allowed me to continue growing. Resilience has been essential in the face of challenges or setbacks. There have been times when things don’t go as planned, but the ability to bounce back and keep going has been important in maintaining momentum. Flexibility has allowed me to adapt to new trends in the beauty space as well as adjusting to what my audience responds to.

My advice for anyone just starting out is to STAY CONSISTENT! Even when the results don’t come immediately we must remember that progress takes time, and it’s important to keep pushing forward. Also, don’t let the fear of judgment or what others may think hold you back. Trust in your journey, stay true to yourself, and keep moving forward.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

One of the main challenges I’m facing right now is simply finding the time to get everything done, especially when it comes to editing and hopping on trends. As a content creator and an MBA student, balancing my studies, creating content, and staying on top of current trends can sometimes feel VERY overwhelming. I’m working on improving my time management skills and finding more efficient ways to get things done!
