Meet Bunny Bradley

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bunny Bradley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Bunny , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

My Dad and my family heritage provided me with strong inner strength , faith and the ability to bounce back after a setback or even a major disaster.
On a very low day in my late 20’s he came to remind me who I was and where I came from, he reminded I came from strong people .
I carry that with me in difficult times but also good times. It gives me the courage to keep going.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I have been a creative my entire life . I grew up working in the fashion world and then the Christmas business .My Dad owned shoe stores and my Grandparents owned a Christmas manufacturing company.
I worked as a Sales Representative in the Christmas and decorative accessory business which turned in to a product developer and designer .
I started my first company at the millennial We had a horrible fire and bounced back from that disaster. I learned so much from that event.
I currently design beautiful travel bags and cosmetic bags in Texas. We manufacture in Texas at a non- profit which teaches women how to sew and provides a job.
I love helping to provide jobs for people. It is wonderful to see the pride and accomplishment in someone’s face when they sew our bags. Also for them to be able to help support themselves and their families .
Our travel bag line is growing and we are adding new designs and fabrics in 2025. We are also expanding into new areas. Look for a bit of home decor . We also hope to be back to Atlanta Gift Market this summer.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think the number one thing I have is a passion for what I do! I have always had a passion and enthusiasm for any project I am pursuing .
The second thing is persistence and follow through .Passion and enthusiasm only take you so far. You much act on that and be persistent in taking action on your plans. You must follow through and follow up
The third skill I have is I am a life long learner. I am constantly educating myself on my industry , leadership , and the people around me.
I am also always building relationships with people and learning from them.My business is relationship based.and I constantly cultivate that and have made so many dear friends. This might be my favorite thing about what I do, the relationships built.
My advice is to love what you and make friends while you are doing what you love!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

As I stated in the beginning my Dad has been the most impactful in my life. He helped always to overcome my self doubt and fears .
He also took me to his shoe stores and on many business trips . He taught me design, sales and how to build relationships with people .
He also taught me to have fun and passion in everything I do. He taught me to dream big and to strive for excellence in everything.
