Meet Anna Chernova

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Chernova. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Anna, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

There was one situation in my life that changed everything. When I was 18, I ended up in the hospital, where I met a girl. She was 20 at the time, and I already had an idea about her diagnosis, but she radiated optimism and inspired everyone around her. As I talked to her, I couldn’t understand how she managed to stay so positive, fearless, and full of life despite everything.

Her attitude influenced me deeply—probably more than anything else ever had. It made me reevaluate my own life, which at the time felt hopeless, filled with an unloved job and endless parties. I turned my life around 180 degrees.

Now, I have the life I truly want. I’ve stopped being afraid to make decisions and have become much more confident in myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a tattoo artist, and I’ve been in the industry for 12 years. I live in San Francisco, where my friends and I own a tattoo studio. We work on a lot of projects and collaborations, bringing in well-known artists from all over the world. Our goal is to create something unique that redefines the traditional idea of a tattoo shop.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Have you heard of the 10,000-hour rule? In a way, it’s true. If you spend a lot of time honing your skills, you’re bound to become a pro. So, it’s definitely about hard work and determination.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, we are looking for talented tattoo artists from all over the world who would like to cooperate with us, bring something new, collaborate, so feel free to contact us on Instagram or by email.
