Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Harley Yoder. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Harley , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
It took me a while to find my purpose. For years, I was navigating through life, uncertain of where I truly fit and what I was meant to contribute. Over time, though, I began to realize that God’s plan for me was much greater than I had imagined. I believe that my purpose is rooted in service to others, using my life to make a positive impact through love and care. I’ve come to understand that genuine intentions are at the heart of everything I do for others—whether it’s offering a listening ear, giving freely without expecting anything in return, or providing support during tough times.
Through my journey, I’ve learned the importance of grace and forgiveness, both in my relationship with others and with myself. I believe that it is through showing grace that we can truly connect with others on a deeper level. My purpose became clearer as I realized that living with true compassion, a heart full of love, and an openness to forgive is what I’m called to do. It’s not about grand gestures, but about the everyday acts of kindness, understanding, and support that come from a place of genuine care.
My faith has been central to this journey, reminding me that everything I do is guided by a higher purpose—one that calls me to serve, love, and be a reflection of grace in the world. I’ve learned that the most meaningful way to live is by sharing love, positivity, and grace. I believe that if we live with true, genuine intentions and focus on spreading kindness, we can make a difference in the lives of others—and in doing so, fulfill the purpose God has called us to.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, I believe the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are resilience, empathy, and a strong understanding of financial literacy.
Resilience was key. Life threw challenges my way, especially during my childhood, and it took time to find my footing. But building resilience helped me persevere through tough times. It taught me that no matter how difficult things get, I have the strength to keep going, learn from the experience, and grow. To those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Don’t be afraid of setbacks; instead, learn to adapt, and focus on the bigger picture. Every step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goal.
Empathy played a huge role in my personal and professional life. Learning to genuinely understand and connect with others has been vital in building meaningful relationships. Whether it’s with family, friends, or clients, empathy has allowed me to offer the right kind of support and care. For anyone just starting out, I recommend practicing active listening and really being present in your interactions. Take the time to understand people’s needs, dreams, and challenges, and you’ll find that your relationships, both personal and professional, will grow deeper.
Finally, financial literacy has been a cornerstone of my success, both in real estate and in life. Understanding how money works, from budgeting and credit to investing, gave me the confidence to make informed decisions. To those starting out, my advice is to take the time to educate yourself about finances, even if it feels intimidating at first. Start with the basics—learn about budgeting, saving, and understanding credit. Over time, as you build that knowledge, you’ll be in a much stronger position to make choices that benefit your future.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to focus on these areas of growth—resilience, empathy, and financial knowledge—and commit to learning every day. Surround yourself with people who inspire and support you, keep a positive attitude, and remember that growth is a process. Stay patient with yourself, and never stop learning.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The people who have been most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and develop the essential skills, qualities, and knowledge to be successful have been my family, particularly my sisters, and mentors who believed in me along the way.
First and foremost, my sisters have been a constant source of support. No matter what obstacles I’ve faced, they’ve always been there for me, offering advice, encouragement, and a listening ear. Their unconditional love and belief in me have helped me build the resilience I needed to keep pushing forward, even when the road got tough. They’ve not only been my emotional support but also my role models, teaching me the importance of perseverance and maintaining a strong sense of family.
Additionally, mentors have played a crucial role in my journey. Whether it was in real estate or personal growth, having someone who had already walked the path I was on provided me with invaluable guidance. These mentors shared their expertise and wisdom, helping me develop the knowledge I needed to succeed in my career. They taught me how to lead with integrity, build meaningful relationships, and manage the business aspects of real estate with confidence.
Finally, my faith has been instrumental in shaping my mindset and providing me with the inner strength to face challenges. My belief in Jesus has grounded me and provided a sense of purpose that guides everything I do. It has reminded me that my worth is not tied to worldly success, and that grace, forgiveness, and service to others are the keys to true fulfillment.
Together, my family, mentors, and faith have shaped who I am today, helping me develop the qualities and skills I need to be successful. They have all taught me that success is not just about what you accomplish, but about who you become along the way.
