Irvin A., so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from the experiences that have shaped my life and the lessons I’ve learned through challenges. Over the years I’ve faced difficult moments that taught me the importance of adapting, keeping my faith, and finding strength in the love of my family. I firmly believe that every struggle has a purpose and that even in the darkest times, there is always light at the end.
Music became my refuge and my way of expressing everything within me, turning pain into inspiration. My faith in God and my determination to move forward have helped me view life with hope, reminding me that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Today, my optimism is rooted in my trust in a better future and my ability to overcome any obstacle.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am Boz1r, am from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, a singer and songwriter in the Latin Urban Music scene, dedicated to creating songs that blend genres like reggaeton, hip-hop and latin urban pop. My music explores universal themes such as love, heartbreak, personal growth, and reflection, always with the goal of emotionally connecting with my audience and delivering a positive message. As an artist from the Golden Frontier, I represent a region where limits do not exist, and everything is possible. My mission is to inspire others to believe in their dreams and pursue them with passion and optimism.

One of my recent accomplishments is the release of my song Tentacion, a collaboration with a talented local artist Sasha K. This track merges elements of Latin urban pop and house, infused with the essence of reggaeton in its lyrics. Alongside the song, I launched an exclusive merchandise line that has been incredibly well-received, showcasing the impact of my music beyond just the sound. I am deeply passionate about performing on stage, connecting with the audience, and sharing my art, proving that every voice deserves to be heard. My ultimate goal is to break barriers with my music and continue representing my community with pride and authenticity.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Perseverance, discipline, and continuous learning have been key in my journey. Trusting yourself and maintaining an optimistic mindset is crucial to overcoming challenges. Discipline has helped me move forward, while creativity and adaptability have allowed me to stand out. Additionally, technical knowledge and a commitment to constant learning are essential to perfecting your craft. My advice is to never give up, stay flexible, and always remain curious to grow and seize new opportunities.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The book that has had the greatest impact on my life is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This book is important to me because its story helped me deeply reflect on my personal journey. It talks about the search for a “treasure” that ultimately turns out to be within oneself. That idea resonated with me profoundly, as I consider myself someone who flows with life and the opportunities that come my way.

However, this book made me realize that, many times, we search outside ourselves for something that has always been within us. In my case, my “treasure” and my “personal legend” were always inside me, waiting to be discovered. This lesson changed my perspective on life, teaching me to value love above all else: love for others, love for what I do, and love for my purpose. It made me understand that this love is the true treasure and that everything we need to fulfill our mission is already within us.

The Alchemist not only inspired me to pursue my dreams but also taught me to appreciate the journey. Sometimes, we must “travel around the world,” metaphorically, to return to ourselves and discover what has always been there.
