Meet Kriziah Santa Ana

We were lucky to catch up with Kriziah Santa Ana recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kriziah, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I found my purpose through my faith. As a Christian, I strive to involve God in every decision I make. While I’ve been a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist, I always felt a nudge that I was meant to do something more. I had no background in business—my studies have always been focused on Health Sciences—but in 2021, I began to feel a strong pull toward entrepreneurship.

The more I volunteered at my church, Crave Church, the more I discovered how much I enjoy organizing, overseeing, leading, creating and bringing visions to life. I realized I was developing skills I never thought I had—skills I truly believe God has gifted me with. I prayed for about three years, seeking clarity on whether this was truly my calling. In 2023, I finally felt a deep peace that it was the right time to start. I shared this with my family, close friends and church mentors, and their support gave me the confidence to move forward.

After months of preparation, Radiate Events launched in July 2024. To my surprise, clients started coming in, including my employer at my full-time hygiene job, who trusted me with one of his big company events.

Faith may seem unconventional to some when it comes to decision-making, but I can confidently say that it’s through faith and prayer that I found my purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At Radiate Events, I have the privilege of not just creating events, but helping to bring my clients’ most meaningful moments to life. What excites me the most is building genuine relationships with my clients and working closely with them to turn their visions into reality. Each event feels special, and I love the challenge of embracing new themes—even ones I’ve never worked on before.

We’re also expanding soon to include productions, such as lighting, DJ music, and more, which is an exciting development. I’m also in the process of seeking guidance on an exciting new direction for Radiate Events and look forward to sharing more when the time is right. Along with event decor, we offer wedding planning, coordination, wedding backdrops, and event planning for birthdays, baby showers, proposals, bridal showers, and more.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been faith, the ability to prioritize the mission over emotions, and putting purpose over preference. There were many times when I wanted to relax or was going through personal challenges, but I had to remind myself that my clients deserve my best. In those moments, I realized that putting my emotions and personal preferences aside is essential. These qualities, developed through my volunteer and leadership roles in church, have been pivotal in keeping me grounded and focused on my goals. If you’re starting out, these qualities will carry you through challenges and keep you aligned with your true purpose, even when the path gets tough.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The number one challenge I’m currently facing is balancing my full-time job as a registered dental hygienist, my responsibilities as a leader and volunteer at church, and running my event business, Radiate Events. Each of these roles demands significant time, energy, and focus, and sometimes it feels like there’s not enough of me to go around. As much as I’m passionate about all of them, I’ve had to find ways to manage my time and energy efficiently. As one of my friends once told me, “If you think you have so much on your plate, then get a bigger plate.” This advice has really resonated with me as I strive to push through the overwhelming moments. I’ve been learning to set clear boundaries for each area of my life, ensuring I dedicate the right focus to each. I’ve also had to prioritize and delegate tasks in my business, making sure that I’m not spreading myself too thin. It’s an ongoing process, but I remind myself that my commitment to each area of my life aligns with my purpose, and I rely on God’s guidance to help me stay focused and maintain balance.
