Meet Meg Watt

We recently connected with Meg Watt and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Meg, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?

My self care regimen erected from experiencing debilitating back flares. I tried over 40 different healing modalities and found what works perfectly for me. Some of my top modalities include: sound healing, meditation, massage, mindfulness, yoga, acupuncture, journaling, sauna therapy, and talk therapy. I went from being debilitated by my back (at one point, I went from a wheelchair, to a walker, to a cane), to hitting a golf ball over 200 yards off the tee (average distance for women is 150 yards). This self care has been amazing for not only my physical life, but also my emotional life. I’ve been able to pay off debt, lose weight, cultivate amazing friendships, approach my work life balance completely differently and have a thriving marriage.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I provide mindfulness based sound healing stress managment workshops to corporations through my business Soul Heal Sound (soulhealsound.com). I’m always excited to help high achieving professionals take inventory of what stressors they may be experiencing, and help them transform their approaisal of that stress. In 2025, I’ll continue to train other sound healers and certify them through my technique of mindfulness based sound healing, which incorporates the principles of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction framework, along with therories in Sound Healing to provide a specialized approach to wellness. As someone with a portfolio career, I also work in corporate consulting as an executive in Healthcare IT. My passion also lies in playing golf and influencing beginner women to get out and enjoy the game because of the many mental health and physical benefits of playing. I’m a micro golf influencer (@megthegolfer) who hosts tournaments, meetups, and partner with brands that align with my goals, vision, and target audience needs.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three skills:
– empathy
– self awareness
– meditation

With these three, you never stop learning, and you find all the right answers to navigate any of life’s challenges. I learned these skills by delving into my healing work. My advice is never take anything personal, learn the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

“How to Do the Work” by Dr. Nicole LePera
– Understanding that emotional and physical health are deeply interconnected. I learned to recognize how stress, trauma, and emotions manifest in physical symptoms.

– True healing requires addressing multiple aspects of life – physical health, emotional patterns, belief systems, and relationships – rather than focusing on just one area.

– Reparenting: The concept of learning to give ourselves the emotional support and care we may have needed but didn’t receive in childhood.

– Setting boundaries: The vital importance of establishing healthy boundaries in relationships while understanding why this might feel uncomfortable based on past conditioning.
