Meet Diana Antillon

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diana Antillon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Diana, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My purpose became clear when I looked at my own children. I wanted them to have experiences that were truly magical, filled with wonder and joy. I realized that by creating these unforgettable moments for other children, I was fulfilling a deeper purpose bringing happiness and excitement into young lives. I’ve always been passionate about creativity and working with children. When I started Padme Tea Party I realized that I could combine these passions into something meaningful. Seeing the smiles on kids faces as they engage in our activities is incredibly rewarding. That’s when I knew I had found my purpose to share my love for creativity with the next generation.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I bring the magic to kids’ parties! I run a company that specializes in creating unforgettable celebrations with a focus on creativity and fun. We offer a wide range of activities, from arts and crafts and makeup and nail polish party to interactive games and even personalized party themes. It’s all about making memories that will last a lifetime. I’m a children’s party entertainer, but I don’t just throw parties; I create experiences. We go beyond the typical bouncy house and cake. We incorporate personalized themes, interactive activities, and a touch of magic to make each celebration truly special and unique.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Children’s parties thrive on imaginative play and unique ideas. I constantly brainstorm new themes, activities, and decorations to keep parties fresh and exciting. I love to encourage children’s creativity and help them express themselves through art, music, and play. Building strong relationships with clients and connecting with children is key. I actively listen to parents needs and desires, ensuring every party aligns with their vision. I also have a natural ability to connect with children, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere. Successful parties require meticulous planning and execution. From booking entertainment to coordinating logistics and ensuring timely deliveries, I’m highly organized and detail-oriented. I thrive on planning and executing seamless events that run smoothly from start to finish.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

Everyone feels overwhelmed sometimes, and running a business is no exception. When I start to feel overwhelmed, I try to take a step back and prioritize. I make a list of tasks, breaking them down into smaller, more manageable chunks. Sometimes, simply taking a short break to step away from the situation can do wonders. I might go for a walk, listen to some music, or spend a few minutes meditating.

I also believe in the power of delegation. When possible, I delegate tasks to others, whether it’s hiring assistants or enlisting the help of family and friends.

Finally, I remember why I started this business in the first place – to bring joy to children. Reconnecting with that purpose always helps me regain perspective and refocus my energy.
