We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angela Fach. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angela below.
Angela, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
When I reflect on how I found my purpose, it really comes down to following the creative spark that’s been with me since childhood. From an early age, I loved drawing, painting, and making things—whether that meant crafting my own clothes and jewelry or experimenting with different design ideas around the house. Creativity always felt like a form of self-expression that allowed me to bring my imagination to life.
Ultimately, my purpose is to use my creativity to inspire others, make meaningful connections, and bring beautiful ideas into the world. By embracing each new creative challenge—whether it’s crafting a brand identity, taking photographs, or designing apparel—I continue to evolve, refine my talents, and stay committed to the vision that started it all: creating art in every form and sharing it with others.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a multidisciplinary designer and artist, and I pour my creativity into several different mediums—everything from graphic design and photography to apparel and content creation. At the heart of my work is a desire to inspire connection and spark emotion through color, form, and storytelling. Every piece of art I create, every brand I help shape, and every design I develop is an opportunity to share a fresh perspective.
What’s most exciting to me is how each project pushes me to learn and experiment. Whether I’m collaborating with a client on a new visual identity or crafting a personal photography series, the creative process drives me forward. I love to explore unconventional ideas and incorporate unique touches that reflect a brand’s essence—or my own, in the case of personal artwork.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue evolving my brand as both a designer and creator, collaborating on projects that challenge me to think differently, and further building a community of people who share my passion for art, design, and meaningful expression.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Curiosity & Willingness to Experiment
Why It’s Impactful: Curiosity has led me to try new mediums, techniques, and creative processes that ultimately expanded my skill set. The willingness to experiment, even if it means risking mistakes, has been essential to my growth.
Advice: Don’t shy away from the unknown or from making “mistakes.” When you’re early in your journey, every experiment—even if it’s imperfect—teaches you valuable lessons. Seek out new challenges and encourage yourself to learn through trial and error.
2. Adaptability & Openness to Feedback
Why It’s Impactful: Being open to change and actively seeking feedback helped me refine my style and approach. Adapting to new trends or emerging technologies, especially in creative fields, keeps your work fresh and relevant.
Advice: Surround yourself with a support network who can provide honest input. Practice receiving feedback gracefully, and then act on it. Adapt when something isn’t working, and be willing to pivot if it leads you to better opportunities.
3. Consistent Learning & Skill-building
Why It’s Impactful: Continuous learning—through tutorials, workshops, or self-study—has been crucial in keeping my work evolving and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.
Advice: Whether you’re taking online courses, attending conferences, or just playing around with new tools on your own, set aside dedicated time to learn. Make professional development a habit, and don’t forget to keep a record or portfolio of your progress along the way.
Embracing these qualities—staying curious, adaptable, and consistently learning—will help you shape a creative, fulfilling career path. Everyone’s journey looks different, but if you can focus on these three areas, you’ll likely find yourself growing both personally and professionally.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I’ve been fortunate to have several guiding influences on my journey, and each played a unique role in helping me build the skills and mindset I needed to succeed. First and foremost, my mother, Lorrina, believed in my passion for art and design from the very beginning. Even though we weren’t in the best financial situation, she found a way to make sure I could continue my education and pursue college. Her unwavering support and sacrifice gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles.
A pivotal mentor early in my career was Salvatore Marotta, who owned a high-profile ad agency in South Florida where I had the opportunity to work. He not only recognized my passion and potential, but also offered me invaluable guidance and encouragement. His belief in me at such a formative stage fueled my ambition and helped shape my creative direction.
Lastly, my network of fellow creatives has been invaluable. The peers who motivate and challenge me have pushed me to refine my skills and stay attuned to the latest design trends. This sense of community continues to be a source of inspiration, learning, and collaboration.
If I had to sum it up, I’d say the collective support from my mother, Lorrina, mentors like Salvatore Marotta, and my creative community has been indispensable. They’ve each contributed to the confidence, adaptability, and curiosity that guide my work today.
