Meet Ronan Lemus

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ronan Lemus. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Ronan, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

I think it comes from my understanding of reality and how it can change solely based off how we perceive it . We can chose to lose hope and settle for a bleak reality or we can become whatever we want if we perceive things with the hope that it will happen with time . From my experience my life has only begun to change into the life I’ve always hoped for doing things that I never thought I could do only because I chose to be optimistic of what can happen .

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My names Ronan and for the last two years I’ve been trying to find a way to one day be a successful and respected standup comedian . Right now my focus is to book more shows in L.A clubs and produce my own shows in my home town of the antelope valley the most exciting part of my career so far has been the shows it self and the opportunity I get to meet fans and other comedians . Every time I run into another comic I get excited because for those times I meet comics at these shows I feel a certain level of connection because Comics , I believe , are on a different spectrum of consciousness and thinking cause in order to be a good (funny) comic you need the ability to read people and in real time adjust their act to better suit the different groups of people we perform in front of .

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities you need is optimism, social skills for networking and just a better understanding of the human psyche. The last quality is the most important one in my opinion . You need to understand people in order to connect with them and find what makes them laugh . If you can’t connect with the audience then it doesn’t matter how good your material is you will never be able to have a good show .

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

The type of people I would love to work with are those that have nothing but optimism even when having some bad days . Cause being optimistic is what prevents you from giving up and it keeps you moving forward so that you’re even closer to your goal than you were the day before .
