We recently connected with Elle Speed and have shared our conversation below.
Elle, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence and self-esteem stem largely from the strong, inspiring women in my life—my mother and grandmother. They’ve both shaped how I view myself and approach challenges. My mom, in particular, always told me that when you look good and do good, you perform at your best. She instilled in me the importance of putting my best foot forward and striving for excellence in everything I do. I’ve carried this mindset with me in every endeavor. I always have a clear vision of the end result and work backwards to ensure I’m giving it my all. It’s not about perfection, but about knowing that I’ve done my best. That gives me the confidence to hold my head high and feel good about who I am and what I’ve accomplished.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’ve been an aesthetician for 13 years, passionate about skincare and wellness. My focus is helping clients achieve healthy, glowing skin and a positive mindset. I recently hosted a women’s wellness event called Ignite and Inspired, which treated the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My brand empowers women to love and care for their skin while fostering trust and connection. I want to help you feel confident and supported as your skin evolves through life’s stages, with a focus on holistic health and mental wellness.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
To be a great aesthetician and successful entrepreneur, I believe the top three skills are:
Mastering Your Craft: Constantly honing your skills and knowledge in skincare ensures you provide the best care and stay ahead in the industry.
Active Listening: Understanding your clients’ unique goals and concerns is key to providing personalized treatments and building lasting relationships.
Authenticity: Being true to yourself and letting clients see the real you fosters trust, loyalty, and deeper connections, which are vital for long-term success in business.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m looking to collaborate with wellness, fitness, and nutrition experts to create something amazing! After hosting my “Ignite and Inspire” women’s wellness day, I want to expand into events for teens & men too, helping change the narrative around self-care. I’m passionate about connecting with professionals to empower individuals through holistic wellness—mind, body, and skin. Let’s work together to make self-care essential for all!
