We were lucky to catch up with Ajunay Grayson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ajunay, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I believe I get my resilience from my father. I have watched him go thru many battles and obstacles and he always finds a way to come out on top and even thrive through any situation. I believe watching him and just having his genes has helped me develop my own sense of resilience and strength as well as the confidence to know I can go thru and get thru anything that is thrown on my path. With that mindset it has helped me move mountains in my own life and step over obstacles with ease and confidence knowing nothing can break me unless I allow it.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Ajunay, a spiritual guide, healer, and creator deeply committed to empowering others through the journey of self-discovery and healing. My work is rooted in blending ancient wisdom with modern spiritual practices to help individuals unlock their fullest potential and embrace their unique paths.
Professionally, I wear multiple hats. As a medicine woman, I guide people through transformative healing processes, helping them release emotional, mental, and physical traumas to reclaim their power and find peace. This journey is captured in my healing workbook, Limitless Healing Workshop – Release to Receive, which offers interactive exercises to facilitate deep healing and spiritual growth.
One of the most exciting aspects of my work is witnessing the profound transformations that occur when individuals tap into their higher selves. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see people shift from a place of limitation to one of limitless possibility. This passion also fuels my podcast, Letters from Your Higher Self, where I explore themes of spiritual growth, higher connection, and personal empowerment.
In addition to my healing work, I’m an author. My latest book, Unbinding The Heart: Healing The Mother Wound & Reclaiming Your Power, delves into the profound journey of healing the mother wound—a deeply personal story that has shaped my own path. This book is designed to help others navigate their healing journey, offering insights and practices for reclaiming personal power and inner peace.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to announce the upcoming launch of my new travel-inspired brand, which will not only document my personal journeys but also inspire others to explore the world and their inner selves. This new venture will include unique travel experiences, retreats, and a line of products that encourage spiritual exploration and self-discovery.
Through all my work, my mission remains the same: to guide others in transforming their lives, unlocking their true potential, and living in alignment with their higher purpose. Whether it’s through a healing session, a podcast episode, or a written page, my goal is to inspire and support others on their journey to wholeness and abundance.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey, three qualities have been incredibly impactful: resilience, intuition, and the willingness to continuously learn.
1. Resilience: Life’s challenges have been my greatest teachers. From personal experiences, such as healing my own mother wound, to navigating the complexities of building a career rooted in spirituality, resilience has been my anchor. It’s the ability to keep going, even when things feel uncertain or difficult, that has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. My advice to those early in their journey is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Each setback is a lesson, and cultivating resilience will help you navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life.
2. Intuition: Trusting my intuition has been a game-changer. In both my personal healing and my work with others, intuition has guided me to make decisions aligned with my higher purpose. For anyone just starting out, I’d encourage you to spend time cultivating a connection with your inner self. Practices like meditation, journaling, and quiet reflection can help you tune into your intuition. The more you listen, the stronger and clearer that inner voice becomes.
3. Continuous Learning: The willingness to learn and grow has been a constant in my journey. Whether it’s through formal education, spiritual teachings, or life experiences, I’m always seeking new knowledge. For those at the beginning of their path, remain curious and open. Invest time in learning from mentors, books, courses, or even the people around you. Growth is a lifelong process, and staying open to new ideas and perspectives will keep you evolving.
To sum it up, resilience, intuition, and continuous learning have been the pillars of my journey. For those just starting out, embrace these qualities, trust the process, and remember that every step, no matter how small, is leading you closer to your purpose.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Throughout my journey, several key figures have played instrumental roles in helping me overcome challenges and develop the essential skills and qualities needed for success.
1. Mentors and Spiritual Guides: I’ve been fortunate to have mentors who guided me through some of the most pivotal moments in my life. Their wisdom and experience provided me with valuable insights, helping me navigate both personal and professional challenges. They taught me the importance of resilience, intuition, and continuous growth, often reminding me to trust the process and stay true to my path.
2. My Community: The community of like-minded individuals—fellow healers, spiritual seekers, and supporters—has been incredibly supportive. They’ve provided a safe space for me to share my experiences, learn from others, and grow together. This collective energy has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation.
3. My Inner Self: Ultimately, my inner self has been one of my greatest allies. The journey of self-discovery has taught me to trust my intuition, listen to my inner voice, and lean into my own strength. Overcoming personal challenges, such as healing my mother wound, required deep inner work and self-compassion, which have been crucial in shaping who I am today.
For those seeking guidance, I recommend finding mentors who resonate with your values, surrounding yourself with a supportive community, and dedicating time to your inner work. These relationships and practices can provide the foundation you need to navigate challenges and continue growing on your journey.
