Meet Christina Bombay

We were lucky to catch up with Christina Bombay recently and have shared our conversation below.

Christina, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

My purpose became clear to me through a combination of personal experiences and my professional journey. As a nurse, I’ve always felt a deep desire to care for others, but it wasn’t until I started working closely with families and new mothers that I truly found my calling.

I realized how transformative – and often challenging – the early years of parenthood are, and how much support women and families need during this time. What stood out to me was how impactful it is to spend the time they truly need with them – listening, educating, and offering personalized guidance. Those moments of connection allow me to make a real difference in their confidence and well-being.

Being able to dedicate that time and focus to help families navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood has shown me that my purpose is to be a steady source of support, encouragement and empowerment during one of the most important phases of their lives.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a Registered Nurse and owner of a private nursing practice, The Mama Coach – Christina Bombay. My work is focused on educating and supporting families, especially new mothers, during some of the most life-changing moments of their lives. What excites me most about what I do is the opportunity to truly connect with people – to listen to their concerns, share knowledge, and guide them through the joys and challenges of parenthood.

What feels most special to me is being able to spend the time the family needs to feel seen, heard, and empowered. Parenthood, especially in the first couple of years, can be overwhelming, and I take pride in being someone that families can trust for reassurance and guidance.

For me, it’s about building relationships and giving families the tools and confidence they need to thrive in this new chapter of their lives. Watching them grow, adapt, and succeed is what makes this work so meaningful.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Resilience: The ability to stay calm, focused, and optimistic during challenging situations has been essential in my journey. Parenthood is unpredictable, and providing consistent, grounded support to families has been incredibly impactful. Embrace challenges as learning opportunities.

2. Education: Staying informed about the latest research and best practices in maternal and child health has been key to my success. Sharing this knowledge with families not only empowers them but also builds their confidence in making decisions for the family’s well-being. Make continuous learning a priority and stay up to date on the latest evidence-based information.

3. Building Trust and Relationships: Creating genuine, trusting relationships with families has been invaluable. When families trust you, they feel safe and confident – which helps them embrace the support and guidance you provide. Focus on compassionate communication and always follow through on what you say you’ll do.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I absolutely love meeting new people and building relationships that help me better serve families. I believe collaboration is key, especially when it comes to supporting women during one of the most transformative periods of their lives. The first two years after having a baby are so critical, and women often need extra support – physically, emotionally, and mentally. My goal is to collaborate with others who share a passion for helping families thrive during this time.

If you’re interested in partnering or connecting with me, I’d love to hear from you! You can reach me via email at christina.bombay@themamacoach.com. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these families.
