Meet Sauce Samurai

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sauce Samurai a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Sauce with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my work ethic from my parents them being from Mexico and all. I’m first generation Hispanic so that means a lot to me. The simple fact my parents faced all the trouble to move countries to give me an opportunity to better and make something of myself is motivation enough.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I got my start in the Music industry in 2015 at the time I was learning to engineer and make beats because since I was 13 I wanted to be a rapper. I struggled learning programs like Fl Studios and Pro tools but I always had a knack for music. Over time I grew In popularity in the Houston area earning merit in my industry. I always feel most excited about making great beats that compliment artists and push their music to new levels. Waking up in the morning and being able to live off my craft is something that makes my strive to be better every day.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The most impactful skills I’ve learned over the years are discipline and work ethic. Long nights and early mornings are the things that have honed my abelites to the level they are at now. The best advice I can give people in their life journey is keep going, you’ll never know how far you can go if you don’t try.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

As of now I’m looking to collaborate with more Mexican artists that make corridos. I sing in Spanish and I’m looking for musicians that are willing to collaborate to make great music and perform with me. I’m just looking for motivated people that can lock In and make the best music possible.
