We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Barry Raccio . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Barry below.
Barry , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience was forged early in life, shaped by both the challenges I faced growing up and the transformative power of yoga. Raised in a turbulent environment, I had to step into roles that required me to be strong, responsible, and self-sufficient. This early experience taught me how to hold steady amidst uncertainty, even when it felt like the world was out of my control.
Kundalini Yoga became my anchor. Through its teachings, I learned to harness not just physical strength, but the power of the mind and spirit. Breathwork, meditation, and nervous system regulation became my tools to turn resilience into something far greater than mere survival. The practice of “keeping up” in Kundalini — the ability to stay present and steady, no matter how difficult the moment — shifted my perspective. Resilience wasn’t about pushing through with force, but about enduring gracefully, embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.
Today, I share these teachings through sound baths and wellness sessions. Each experience I create serves as a reminder that resilience is not just about enduring life’s storms, but about cultivating inner peace, clarity, and strength. I guide others to find their own resilience, and to stay centered even when external circumstances shake them. Resilience, for me, is not just a survival skill — it’s the quiet power to thrive, no matter what life brings.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m Barry Raccio, an Artist and Energy Alchemist, dedicated to creating transformative experiences that bridge the gap between healing and self-expression. Through sound healing, movement, and mindfulness, I help people release stress, rediscover their inner calm, and reconnect to their true selves.
What sets my work apart is its artistry—a unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern techniques designed to meet the challenges of today’s world. Whether I’m leading a sound bath, teaching yoga, or curating immersive wellness events, my approach is grounded in creating meaningful connections and fostering genuine transformation.
Century Wellness Studio is both my creative hub and a sanctuary for others, where I host monthly sound baths and special events that inspire renewal and alignment. I’m also expanding into larger-scale wellness experiences, including collaborations with tranquil-trip.com that combine sound healing with cutting-edge modalities like ketamine therapy, offering new pathways for relaxation and self-discovery.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: wellness should feel human, inspiring, and accessible. My work isn’t just about quieting the noise—it’s about helping people uncover the light within themselves.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three things have had the greatest impact on my journey: authenticity, resilience, and a deep understanding of energy and human connection.
Authenticity has been my guiding light. In my work and life, being true to myself has allowed me to create spaces where others feel safe to do the same. People resonate with what’s real, and that resonance is where healing begins. My advice? Stop trying to fit into someone else’s idea of success. Embrace your quirks, your story, and your truth—they’re what make you uniquely powerful.
Resilience has shaped my path in ways I didn’t fully appreciate until later. Growing up with challenges taught me to find strength in vulnerability and grace in perseverance. For anyone early in their journey, remember that every setback is an opportunity to rise with greater clarity and purpose. It’s not about avoiding the hard times but learning how to grow through them.
Finally, cultivating a deep understanding of energy and human connection has been central to my work as a healer and teacher. Recognizing how energy flows—within ourselves and between one another—has transformed how I show up for others. My advice here is simple: prioritize presence. Learn to quiet your mind, listen deeply, and trust your intuition. Those are the skills that truly connect us.
These qualities have helped me turn my passion into a purpose-driven life. They’ve shown me how to create spaces where people can rediscover themselves and feel their strength. My journey has taught me that everything starts with showing up fully, even when it’s uncomfortable. That’s where the magic happens.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal private client is someone who values well-being and is ready to explore transformative experiences. On a personal level, this might be someone feeling stressed or disconnected who’s seeking a meaningful way to recharge and realign with themselves. Whether they’re new to wellness or seasoned in mindfulness practices, what matters most is their openness to the journey.
In the corporate space, my ideal clients are organizations that prioritize the mental health and well-being of their teams. These are businesses looking for innovative ways to address stress, foster creativity, and enhance productivity through immersive wellness experiences like sound healing.
I’m also passionate about collaborating with other wellness practitioners, event producers, or creatives who want to incorporate sound baths into their offerings. Whether it’s adding a sonic element to a retreat, enhancing a therapeutic practice, or elevating an event, I’m excited to co-create experiences that amplify connection and healing.
