Meet Fanny Müller

We recently connected with Fanny Müller and have shared our conversation below.

Fanny, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose by paying attention to what feeds and heals my soul. Getting closer to God, being adventurous, and keeping an open mind. After college, I started working in Fashion which I did for 7 years but I never felt a sense of fulfillment. I was loving my job but still felt like I could do more. Touch more lives, be of service. It wasn’t until I was introduced to Floristry in 2019 and decided to pursue it because of the fire it instilled in me that I finally found that purpose. I truly believe that it is what I was meant to do all along, and every day I wake up grateful, and content to be able to do what I do while touching so many hearts with my creativity. But it was a long journey, and all the things I did in my past were preparing me for this moment. So trust the process, and always keep on moving no matter what. It only gets better, and things will eventually make sense.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My name is Fanny Müller, I am the founder of M&F FLORAL + DÉCOR, a bespoke Floral Design and Event Décor Styling Studio servicing Milwaukee, WI and its greater area.

We specialize in Weddings & Events, and pride ourselves in our ability to source unique florals, and provide décor styling details that speak to our client’s palette, and personal aesthetic.

Our top quality floral compositions are created with intention; designed with love, passion, rhythm, movement, and harmony in mind. Creating feelings with flowers is kind of our thing!

We value artistry, and source thoughtfully curated styling props to add that final touch of “Je ne sais quoi” for a truly mind-blowing result; guaranteed to leave you and your guests aesthetically pleased and visually stimulated.

What I love the most about what I do is the magic of it all. People do not understand how much energy, work, and care that goes into arranging flowers, especially for weddings. And of course the reaction of not only the couple but also their family and guests when they see the final results. It is so pure, so honest, so authentic. Event if it is just for one day, I am honored to have been able to touch their hearts, and being a small part of their live as they will go back to look at those wedding pictures for years to come.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe that being a florist is 80% problem solving so you have to be sharp, and think quick. Nothing ever goes to plan so you have a be very flexible, and lastly be a kind person. We work in hospitality so we have to have a big heart. My advice to anyone starting is to get as much experience as you can, you will learn best while on the job, keep practicing your craft, and always challenge yourself.
