Meet Mira Moore

We were lucky to catch up with Mira Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mira , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic stems from my upbringing in the Philippines, where I was taught the value of hard work and resilience from an early age. Moving to the United States at 18, I had to adapt quickly to a new culture and take on responsibilities that shaped me into a strong, determined person. As a mom, balancing my children’s needs, running a business, and pursuing my goals has required perseverance and dedication. These experiences have instilled in me the mindset to always show up, work hard, and give my best in everything I do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the founder of EMPATHY Home Care, a non-medical home care services We currently expanded our services in the Greater Grand Rapids. Our mission is to provide compassionate and personalized care that allows seniors and individuals with disabilities to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their homes. What excites me most about my work is the ability to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives—ensuring that they feel valued, respected, and cared for every day.

What makes our brand special is the emphasis we place on empathy, not just in name but in action. We take the time to truly understand the needs of each client and their family, ensuring they feel supported and heard.

Currently, we’re exploring new ways to expand our reach, strategies to connect with more families in need. I’m proud to be part of the Grand Rapids community, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and contribute to it.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Resilience helped me navigate challenges like moving to the U.S. at 18, balancing motherhood, and growing a business. My advice: embrace challenges as opportunities to grow and stay focused on small, consistent progress.
• Empathy has been vital in building trust with clients and relationships with others. My advice: listen deeply and strive to understand people’s needs—empathy is a skill that grows with practice.
• Adaptability allowed me to embrace change and thrive in uncertainty. My advice: stay open-minded, keep learning, and adjust when plans shift.

For anyone starting out: focus on small wins, surround yourself with supportive people, and trust the process. it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’m always open to partnering or collaborating with individuals and organizations who share a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. I’m particularly interested in connecting with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and businesses that focus on senior care, wellness, or related services.

If you’re driven by a mission to provide compassionate care and are looking for meaningful collaboration opportunities, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out to me at:
