We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kāron Fayerweather a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kāron, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Imagine standing at the edge of a vast ocean. The waves are crashing in, unyielding, as if trying to pull you under. You’re standing there, unsure of how to navigate the depths of the unknown. That’s how my journey began—full of uncertainty, fear, and a lack of understanding about who I truly was.
Growing up, I didn’t know how to navigate my emotions or my sense of self. My childhood experiences shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand. There was trauma, a feeling of being unseen, and, more than anything, a belief that I wasn’t enough. This deep-seated lack of self-worth became the anchor that kept me from stepping into my full potential. I was taught to shrink, to remain quiet, and to settle—just to fit in, just to survive. This foundation led me to make decisions that, in hindsight, weren’t based on love or self-empowerment, but rather on a desperate search for validation.
I was so eager to feel seen and loved that I ended up marrying the same man twice. The first marriage came from a place of immaturity—believing that marriage would fill the void within me. I was too young, too broken, and carrying far too many unseen wounds. But I thought that if I did everything right, if I loved enough, I would finally be enough. But the truth is, no one can give you worth. I didn’t understand that at the time.
The second marriage was a repeat of the first. I thought maybe this time, with more effort, more sacrifice, more love, it would work. But the cracks deepened, and I found myself asking the same question I had in the first marriage: Why am I still not enough?
The answer didn’t come in the way I expected. It wasn’t about changing the people around me. It was about changing the relationship I had with myself. After both marriages ended, I was broken, lost, and unsure of where to go next. But deep within, I knew something had to change. I couldn’t keep looking outside of myself for validation. I had to look inward.
And so, I began the hardest work I’ve ever done: learning to love and honor myself. It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t instantaneous. But bit by bit, I began to rediscover who I was, separate from the roles I had been playing. I started to speak differently to myself. At first, the affirmations felt like lies, but I didn’t stop. I said, “I am worthy. I am enough.” The more I said them, the more I believed them. Slowly, I began to rebuild—not just my confidence, but my connection to my power.
Through this deep self-discovery, I found my purpose. It wasn’t something outside of me, waiting to be discovered. It had always been inside of me, waiting to be unlocked. My purpose is rooted in my story—the story of reclaiming myself, discovering my worth, and helping other women do the same. I now know that my purpose is to empower others, especially women who are starting over, to take ownership of their lives and to rebuild with confidence, love, and resilience.
This journey was not about changing the world around me—it was about changing my relationship with myself. Once I did that, everything else fell into place.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am Kāron, a women’s empowerment coach and speaker on a mission to help women, especially those in mid-life, rebuild their lives after trauma and life-changing experiences. My work is rooted in the understanding that every woman has the strength within herself to overcome adversity and create a life of purpose and fulfillment. For me, this isn’t just a job—it’s my calling. It’s the path I’ve walked myself, and now, it’s my mission to help others do the same.
My personal story is one of transformation and resilience. I’ve faced many challenges: childhood trauma, two failed marriages, and ultimately, coming to terms with the fact that I had to do the inner work to heal. It wasn’t until I looked in the mirror, accepted myself, and took ownership of my journey that I realized my purpose. Through years of trial and error, introspection, and consistent effort, I discovered that my purpose is not only to rebuild my own life but to guide others, especially women navigating their second act, to reclaim their power and build the lives they deserve.
I have worked in training and development for over 18 years, and now, I am deeply focused on helping women navigate their second act with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. I believe in the transformative power of positive self-talk, daily affirmations, and practical strategies for growth. This is what I speak about, coach on, and create products around.
What I Do and What Excites Me:
Professionally, I am excited about the many ways I get to serve and empower others. I’m thrilled to be the founder of The Affirmation Whisperer, my brand, where I create and offer products that inspire transformation. I’ve developed affirmation candles, each one designed to ignite a different aspect of your personal growth journey. Whether it’s confidence, peace, or healing, these candles are meant to serve as a daily reminder of your power and potential.
I also have affirmation t-shirts that carry positive messages, making it easy to wear your intentions on your sleeve—literally. These shirts are for the bold woman who isn’t afraid to embrace her power and let the world know she’s walking in her truth.
But one of my proudest creations is my children’s book, The Power of Positive Self-Talk: Children’s Affirmations. This book is my way of helping the next generation—especially young girls—develop healthy self-esteem and the practice of using affirmations to build their confidence. I want young people to grow up knowing their worth from the start, armed with the tools they need to navigate life with grace and self-love.
Another cornerstone of my work is the Life Rediscovered brand. My 90-Day Personal Transformation Journal is designed for women who are ready to take ownership of their healing and transformation. This journal isn’t just about writing down your thoughts; it’s a guide for women to break through their limitations, set intentional goals, and reflect on their progress as they rebuild their lives.
And if you’re ready to dive even deeper into transformation, I’m hosting my Life Rediscovered Masterclass on February 22, 2025, at 11 AM. This class is designed to help women not only embrace change but fully step into their second act with clarity and purpose. We’ll explore strategies for overcoming the past, aligning with your core values, and creating a life that feels like it’s truly your own.
The Affirmation Whisperer and What You Should Know:
The essence of my brand, The Affirmation Whisperer, is all about healing through words—words that inspire, words that heal, and words that push you to evolve. I don’t just believe in affirmations; I live by them. My journey has shown me the power of transforming my thoughts, and now I help women harness that same power to create lasting change in their lives.
At the heart of it all, I focus on supporting women who are going through life changes—whether that’s a divorce, an empty nest, a career shift, or just the natural process of growing into your second act. I believe that every woman, no matter what stage of life she’s in, deserves to have her best years ahead of her.
I invite you to explore the products and events that are designed to help you rebuild, rediscover, and reclaim your life:

I’m deeply passionate about empowering women to step into their second act with confidence, courage, and a renewed sense of purpose. My mission is simple: to help you rediscover who you truly are and live a life that lights you up.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three Key Qualities That Shaped My Journey
1. Self-Awareness
For years, I lived according to others’ expectations, unsure of who I truly was. True transformation began when I took time to reflect deeply on my own needs, desires, and past experiences.
Advice: Get still and ask yourself the hard questions. Reflect regularly to uncover what truly matters to you.
2. The Power of Words and Affirmations
Negative self-talk kept me stuck, but once I began using affirmations, my perspective shifted. Words have the power to reshape our thoughts and our reality.
Advice: Pay attention to your inner dialogue and consciously replace negative thoughts with positive words. Start small and build from there. What you think, you speak; what you speak, you do.
3. Taking Ownership and Doing the Work
I had to accept that only I could change my life. Taking ownership meant committing to the difficult, ongoing work of healing and growth.
Advice: Commit to consistent action, even if it’s just one small step every day. The work is tough, but it’s worth it.
Advice for Those Just Starting Out
If you’re early in your journey, know that it’s okay to be uncertain and take your time. Start with self-compassion, embrace challenges as growth opportunities, and seek out a supportive community like mine. You already have everything you need within you. Trust the process and keep moving forward.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is a woman, especially aged 45-60, who is navigating a major life transition—whether it’s starting over after divorce, becoming an empty-nester, changing careers, or embarking on a new business venture. She is ready to take ownership of her life, heal from past trauma, and embrace her second act with purpose and confidence. She values personal growth, is open to deep self-reflection, and is committed to making lasting changes. She seeks guidance, empowerment, and practical tools to rediscover herself, create a fulfilling life, and overcome any obstacles standing in her way.
