Meet Rachel Hazzard

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rachel Hazzard. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Rachel, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?

I developed my ability to take risks by learning to trust myself and my vision. In the beginning, it wasn’t easy—I faced doubt, fear, and uncertainty like anyone else. But I realized that growth and success rarely happen within a comfort zone. I started small, taking calculated risks and learning from both my wins and setbacks.

A key turning point was understanding that every failure is a lesson. I stopped seeing risks as potential losses and started viewing them as investments in my future. Surrounding myself with mentors and a supportive network also gave me the confidence to take bigger leaps. They helped me see that the scariest decisions often lead to the most rewarding outcomes.

Ultimately, I’ve learned that taking risks is about believing in your potential, having faith in your preparation, and knowing that even if things don’t go as planned, there’s always a way to bounce back stronger. It’s not just about taking chances; it’s about taking smart, intentional ones that align with your goals.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Rachel Hazzard, a serial entrepreneur dedicated to empowering others through business and personal transformation. I own multiple businesses, including a boutique, a virtual call center, a credit repair company, and a tax preparation service. I also run the Rich Girl Mindset Learning Academy, where I mentor aspiring entrepreneurs on how to turn their ideas into thriving businesses.

What excites me most about what I do is the opportunity to help others realize their potential. I’ve been in situations where I felt stuck, misunderstood, or unsure of the next step. Building my brands allowed me to create opportunities not only for myself but for others to take control of their lives and achieve financial independence. Seeing someone transform their mindset, launch a business, or hit a new milestone because of the tools and guidance I’ve provided is incredibly rewarding.

This year is especially exciting for my journey! I recently finalized Rich Girl Mindset Learning Academy and will soon be launching new resources like eBooks, a mentorship program, and templates to guide entrepreneurs from idea to execution.

I want people to know that my brand is about more than business—it’s about creating a movement. I’m here to inspire others to dream bigger, take risks, and make those dreams a reality. Whether you’re shopping my boutique, working with me to repair your credit, or joining my mentorship program, my ultimate goal is to help you achieve the financial freedom and success you deserve.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were resilience, strategic thinking, and adaptability. Each of these played a key role in helping me navigate challenges, take risks, and grow my businesses.

1. Resilience
Entrepreneurship is full of highs and lows, and resilience has been my anchor during tough times. There were moments when I faced setbacks, doubted myself, or felt completely overwhelmed, but I learned to keep going no matter what. Resilience comes from knowing your “why” and refusing to let temporary obstacles define your long-term goals.

Advice: For those just starting out, build resilience by embracing failures as learning opportunities. Surround yourself with people who encourage you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help or take a break when needed. The key is to stay focused on the bigger picture and keep pushing forward.

2. Strategic Thinking
Success isn’t just about working hard; it’s about working smart. Learning how to think strategically—whether it’s about setting goals, making financial decisions, or building a team—has allowed me to grow my businesses intentionally.

Advice: Spend time planning and organizing your goals. Start with the end in mind and break it into smaller, actionable steps. Investing in mentorships, courses, or resources that teach business fundamentals can help you develop a strong foundation for strategic decision-making.

3. Adaptability
No matter how much you plan, things rarely go exactly as expected. Being adaptable has allowed me to pivot when necessary, whether it’s adjusting my business strategies, embracing new technologies, or responding to market trends.

Advice: Stay curious and open to learning. The business landscape is always changing, so make it a habit to stay informed and look for ways to innovate. Flexibility doesn’t mean giving up on your vision—it means finding new ways to make it happen.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to trust the process and understand that success is a marathon, not a sprint. Focus on building these core qualities, and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. Every challenge you face is an opportunity to grow stronger and wiser.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

My biggest area of growth over the past 12 months has undoubtedly been my mindset. I’ve learned to stop playing small, trust my instincts, and truly embrace the fact that I am capable of achieving greatness. For a long time, I struggled with imposter syndrome and doubted whether I was deserving of the success I was working so hard for. But this year, I shifted my focus to personal development and reframed my thinking.

One of the most impactful changes has been learning to see challenges as opportunities for growth rather than roadblocks. I stopped letting fear of failure hold me back and started viewing every decision as a step toward the bigger picture. I also worked on detaching from the opinions of others and trusting in my vision, even if others didn’t fully understand it.

This mindset shift has helped me operate with more confidence, discipline, and intention. It’s allowed me to step into my role as a CEO, set higher goals, and pursue them with clarity and purpose. I now approach my day-to-day life with a sense of gratitude and a belief that I have everything I need to succeed—it’s just a matter of doing the work.

For anyone looking to grow their mindset, my advice is to invest in yourself. Read books, listen to inspiring podcasts, surround yourself with people who encourage you, and don’t be afraid to challenge your own limiting beliefs. When you focus on building a strong, positive mindset, the rest starts to fall into place.
