Meet A. Marie Dingwall

We recently connected with A. Marie Dingwall and have shared our conversation below.

A. Marie, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

I am comfortable in my own skin and in my own voice. That’s so important because it allows me to be anywhere and take up space in any room. I am not unsure of myself, and I won’t allow anyone else to be unsure of me either.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I run &Marie Solutions which is a consultancy specializing in workflow design and optimization. I pride myself on how adaptable and flexible I am in creating solutions for overwhelmed business owners to spend less time drowning in the minutiae of their day to day operations. I am currently very excited about my Ultimate Workflow Recon packages, which allow for business owners to have their operations completely overhauled at varying price points.

In addition to consulting, I offer virtual assistant services, including email management, scheduling, and project coordination. My work is driven by a strong belief in work-life balance and the importance of allowing business owners to focus on strategic direction and growth. At &Marie Solutions, I am dedicated to equipping businesses with the tools and resources to function effectively, helping clients optimize their workflows, manage their time, and build frameworks for sustainable success.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

First, I am a strong communicator. Brevity may be the soul of wit, but brevity and clarity are the soul of work. I actively listen carefully for my client’s needs and I make sure I am clearly understood. Second, spending nearly two decades doing administrative work has given me great problem-solving skills, and that’s invaluable for workflow consulting. Third, I have a knack for analytical thinking; I easily draw meaningful insights from information that is presented to me.

My advice to anyone wanting to improve is to listen. Listen to your clients, your competitors, people that are more skilled than you, people that are less skilled than you… anywhere you can draw information from, take it in.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with others that have a strong sense of organization. Organization can come in many forms: project management, home organization, systems strategy, and many other creative fields.
