Meet Mane Khachikyan

We recently connected with Mane Khachikyan and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mane, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I’ve found my purpose in seeing how makeup can do so much more than change appearances — it can transform emotions and build confidence. What began as a love for artistry grew into a deeper mission: connecting with people, earning their trust, and helping them feel truly seen and beautiful.

For me, makeup isn’t just about the surface. It’s about creating a space where my clients feel comfortable, empowered, and able to see their own beauty. There’s nothing like the moment someone looks in the mirror and lights up. That’s what keeps me going — knowing I’m helping people feel their best. This isn’t just a job; it’s my calling.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story!
Hi, I’m Mane, a celebrity makeup artist passionate about bringing my clients’ visions to life. My journey started with a love for creativity and self-expression, and over time, I’ve had the honor of working with incredible people on some truly unforgettable projects.

What I love most about my work is the creative process — whether it’s creating a fresh, effortless look or something bold and dramatic, my goal is to ensure my clients feel confident and true to themselves. Every project is unique, and that’s what keeps me inspired.

Thank you for your support and I’m excited to continue this journey and share more of what I love with you.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I’d say hard work, consistency, and having a clear vision shaped my journey the most. I’m such a perfectionist — either I’m giving it my all, or I’m not doing it at all. I invested in online masterclasses, rewatched them over and over, and practiced every technique until it felt polished and clean. I had a clear goal: to become a celebrity makeup artist, and I found ways to get there. I connected with people, worked on countless projects (often unpaid), and stayed dedicated to improving my techniques. Over time, I’ve developed a style that’s clean, sophisticated, and elegant, yet so empowering and radiant. My biggest joy is seeing my clients leave feeling confident, strong, and connected to their feminine energy. My advice? Work hard, practice endlessly, and trust the journey — you’ll be amazed at where it can take you.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was teaching me the value of common sense, and I’m so grateful for it. It helps me in every project I take on and with everyone I communicate and connect with. They showed me how to think ahead, recognize needs, and stay aware of what’s happening around me, which has shaped how I work today. People often notice how I’m a couple of steps ahead — understanding what they might need and figuring out how to improve their situation before they even have to ask. This skill has been a game-changer, especially in my assisting jobs. I’ve had artists thank me for being fast, on time, and always on point, often doing things without needing to be told. It’s a skill that’s helped me not just in life but also in my career, and I owe that entirely to my parents. Their lessons in common sense have played a big role in how far I’ve come on my journey.
