We recently connected with Emmie Levy and have shared our conversation below.
Emmie, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I keep my creativity alive by staying deeply connected to the mission and heart of The Emmie Effect.
My name is Emmie Levy, founder of The Emmie Effect, I am a confidence and manifestation coach for children and young adults. The Emmie Effect was born from my own journey of self-belief and manifesting my dreams—dancing alongside Usher in the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show—and it continues to evolve as I work to inspire others to do the same. Every day, I’m fueled by the opportunity to bring light, positivity, and confidence into the lives of those I work with. Whether I’m running my Emmie Effect events at schools, hosting at camps, or even creating personalized experiences in someone’s home, I find endless inspiration in seeing participants connect with themselves and their potential. Creativity flourishes in these moments, where I can tailor each experience to meet people where they are and spark genuine joy and growth. The Emmie Effect workshops are designed for all ages because confidence-building and self-belief are lifelong journeys. During these 90-minute sessions, I weave in personal storytelling, creative projects such as vision journal crafting, and The Emmie Effect card game, which I developed to create conversations about confidence and self-growth. I strive to make each Emmie Effect workshop fun, relatable, and impactful, helping participants not only dream big but also develop the tools to turn those dreams into reality. In my personal life, I practice what I preach and it keeps my creativity alive! Through the practice of journaling, visualization, and daily affirmations, I am nurturing my creativity. These habits ground me, allowing space for new ideas to emerge. Dancing, my ultimate passion, is another outlet—it’s my way of connecting with my emotions and finding joy, even on challenging days.
Collaboration is also key. Whether it’s brainstorming with schools, camps, parents, or gathering feedback from participants, I love working with others to shape experiences that resonate. Each person I meet adds a layer of inspiration to my work, reminding me of the infinite ways we can uplift and empower one another.
At its core, The Emmie Effect is about creating ripples of positivity and self-belief. I want the light I bring to these workshops (and to the world) to inspire others to find and shine their own. Creativity is the bridge that helps me make that happen, and I embrace it in everything I do!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Hi! My name is Emmie Levy, and I am the founder of The Emmie Effect. I am a confidence and manifesting coach for children and young adults helping them build their confidence and manifest their dreams just as I did my own dreams of dancing in the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Usher! Through the Emmie Effect events, I teach people how to harness the power of positivity and belief to create the life they envision.
The Emmie Effect was born out of my own journey. Growing up, I always felt a deep desire to bring light and positivity to others, which led me to start a small business in high school that donated proceeds to teen suicide prevention organizations. After college, I began to reflect on how confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth are essential not just for personal happiness but also for making dreams a reality. I realized the impact I could have by sharing my story and tools, which ultimately led to the creation of The Emmie Effect.
One of the most exciting aspects of The Emmie Effect is how universal it is. While my initial focus was on children and young adults, I’ve expanded the workshops to include people of all ages—college students, parents, and anyone looking to strengthen their confidence and tap into their potential. Confidence isn’t something we “arrive at” and check off a list; it’s a skill we nurture and grow throughout our lives.
The workshops are uniquely designed to be interactive, fun, and meaningful. They include:
Personal storytelling: I share my journey, including how I manifested my dream of dancing alongside Usher at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, to inspire participants to see their own limitless potential.
Creative activities: Such as vision journal collaging, we make manifestation and goal-setting approachable and tangible.
Interactive games: The Emmie Effect card game fosters meaningful conversations about confidence, positivity, and self-growth.
I’m proud to bring the Emmie Effect workshops to schools, camps, and even private home events, creating spaces where participants feel empowered and uplifted. Each event is personalized to the group, ensuring everyone walks away with a renewed sense of confidence and actionable tools to manifest their goals.
Looking ahead, I have exciting plans for The Emmie Effect! I have been a guest on a multitude of podcast, am collaborating with very cool brands and companies and I’m launching a guided journal in 2025 to support people on their journey toward self-belief and goal-setting.
The Emmie Effect is so much more than just building confidence or learning to manifest—it’s about creating a vibrant ripple effect of positivity and empowerment, spreading light and joy to everyone it touches. It reflects my own energy, passion, and belief in the magic we all carry within. I feel incredibly fortunate to share my heart and soul through this work, connect with incredible individuals, and inspire others to shine brightly, embrace their unique brilliance, and confidently create the life they dream of.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey with The Emmie Effect, I can confidently say that three qualities have been particularly impactful for my journey are empathy, the energy that I exude, and persistence.
The Emmie Effect is all about the genuine connection I create with young people. Understanding their unique experiences and emotions allows me to foster a safe and supportive environment where they feel valued and heard. This connection is essential for building trust, which is the foundation of my workshops. To cultivate empathy, practice active listening, ask open-ended questions, and engage with the stories of others. It’s about creating a space where individuals can express themselves freely and feel seen. When children and young adults know they are understood, it empowers them to explore their own feelings and growth.
I firmly believe that we can choose how we approach life, and I strive to maintain a “glass half full” mentality. This positive energy not only uplifts my spirit but also inspires those around me. When I show up with enthusiasm and optimism, it creates an inviting atmosphere that encourages young people to embrace the same mindset. To keep your energy vibrant, surround yourself with positivity, practice gratitude daily, and engage in activities that light you up. I also like to remind people to smile, both in the mirror and at the people around them. You never know what your smile can do for someone elses’ day. Remember, your energy is contagious, and it can create a ripple effect of positivity in the lives of others.
Building The Emmie Effect has required dedication, hard work, and the willingness to overcome challenges. There have been moments when things didn’t go as planned, but my persistence has allowed me to push through and continue pursuing my vision. To develop persistence, remind yourself of your “why” and stay committed to your goals, even when faced with setbacks. Embrace the challenges as learning opportunities; each step forward, no matter how small, is progress. Celebrate the victories, learn from the obstacles, and keep moving forward!!! Don’t look back!
For those reading this that may be embarking on their own journeys, I encourage you to embrace these qualities wholeheartedly. Let empathy guide your interactions, bring your own energy to every situation, and persist in the face of challenges. Remember, the impact you can make is profound, and your journey is a beautiful opportunity to inspire others to believe in themselves and their dreams. By embodying these principles, you’ll not only enhance your own life but also create a positive effect of your own that can touch the lives of so many others. Good Luck!

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
A book that has had a profound impact on my journey is “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer. It explores the idea that we are not our thoughts or emotions but rather the observer of them. This perspective has been pivotal in my work with The Emmie Effect, helping me navigate challenges with more clarity and positivity. One key takeaway is the importance of letting go of limiting beliefs, which resonates with my mission to empower young people to build confidence and manifest their dreams. By releasing fears and negative self-talk, we create room for growth and positivity. The book also emphasizes living in the present moment, a concept I love to share with my participants through the phrase “Be where your feet are.” This mindset allows us to appreciate life as it unfolds and take meaningful steps toward our goals. Additionally, Singer encourages self-awareness and observing our thoughts without judgment. This lesson has transformed how I approach my internal dialogue, helping me respond with compassion and align my actions with my values. Overall, “The Untethered Soul” has been a guiding light in my personal growth and my work at The Emmie Effect, inspiring me to empower others to embrace their true selves and manifest their dreams with confidence! 🙂
