Natalie, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
I quickly learned that I was in the wrong rooms.
It can be very difficult when you’re the only one in the room with a vision. Most will be indifferent, others will bring you down, few will support you. People will only think ideas are feasible if it is within their perception of what they think is possible for themselves. Unfortunately, the vast majority don’t think very highly of themselves.
If you find that is the case it’s time to find new rooms.
I have learned that you have to be stubbornly head strong, never lose sight of your vision, and know in your heart that the things that make you different from the rest are the very same things that will lead you to your purpose.
I have spoken my vision to every day gym members and I have spoken my vision to the top 300 online coaches in the world. Guess who supported the vision?
Surround yourself with those that have walked similar paths and achieved success. They will be your biggest supporters.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Natalie Conde and I am an online transformation coach as well as the founder of Immortal Reign.
Both of my businesses have one key similarity… we help people. As an in-person and online fitness coach I have had the pleasure of helping hundreds of men and women achieve their fitness goals. What many don’t realize is that fitness teaches the tools required to be successful in every other aspect of your life. My clients not only learn how to build healthy habits to achieve their fitness goals, they learn how to end unhealthy cycles and strive for more. They learn how to completely transform their lives,
The overwhelming gratification from changing lives led to a desire to do more. I wanted to find a way to reach a broader audience, help those in need, those that may never consider or have an opportunity to work with a coach. As an art major, I rekindled my passion for design and birthed the idea of a gym wear line that not only looked good, but that did good as well. Immortal Reign combines power with purpose by embodying ancient deities and donates 10% of proceeds to charities that reflect the spirit of that collection’s divine inspiration. The Gaze of the Gorgon collection is currently donating 10% of proceeds to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), the. nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. We will be hosting our first charity event on April 2nd at Sun on the Beach in Kissimmee, FL in order to fundraise for this great cause. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Resilience, integrity, and faith have to be the three key qualities that was have impactful on my journey. The reality is that being an entrepreneur is f*cking hard. You have to have unwavering faith in your vision. Most people are not going to understand it nor deem it “possible”. They will try to sway you, make you believe your ideas are stupid, find every flaw in your plan until you feel nothing but regret for sharing it. You HAVE to have faith. This vision, this thought, this goal was placed inside you for a reason. It’s your job to see it through.
With that comes incredible resilience. It is incredibly difficult to be the only one in the room who looks like you do, that thinks like you do, that moves like you do. Be selective about the people that are constantly around you. If they don’t believe in you, they gotta go. Or at the very least, put some distance. Many will try to take you down on your pursuit to freedom, whatever that means to you. Just know that the harder the fight, the closer you are to achieving success. If it was easy everyone would do it,
Integrity is key to pushing through those hard moments, and there will be many. Stay true to who you are, know your values, know where you stand, and know who and what you’re willing to fight for. A small business can impact the lives of hundreds, if not thousands. You never know, that small business not end up so small after all.
