Dionne , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Whew! I feel like I was forced into developing my confidence and self esteem. I was always complemented on my confidence through the years. However, I knew often times that the outwardly appearance of confidence didn’t match what I was feeling inside. This was in majority due to the fact I was living inauthentically to who I really was. Of course thirty years ago Psychic Mediums were not as accepted, so I did my best to suppress this part of me. Throughout my career, I was known to be the “therapist” as everyone wanted to come sit in my office and chat or ask for advice. Funny thing is, most of the guidance I gave was spiritual, utilizing my psychic gifts. I would use my abilities to streamline processes and create solutions. But even retiring from the military, and having all these accolades, I still didn’t have the confidence to identify as a Psychic Medium. Instead, I got my Masters in Psychology thinking I would have the perfect cover. Once I retired and started working as a Guidance Counselor at a college, I was miserable! I loved the students but energetically I felt so drained. My co-workers would often come to my office again, but this time I was giving them full on readings.

My confidence came when I saw that clearly I had a gift, I was helping people, and they kept coming back because I was accurate. I decided to bet on myself! I had a whole conversation with myself. I thought, “If I can go this hard for someone else’s dream, Why not my own?” My work ethic was amazing, so I knew if I poured that same energy into myself I couldn’t fail. So the choice was made. No more hiding, this is who I am, push through the discomfort. Boom! The Sin City Medium was born. My life has been amazing ever since. I now coach others on rewiring core beliefs about themselves so they can too can live their life authentically to the fullest and maximize their potential.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I love my life!! I’m a Psychic Medium and Spiritual Coach, I perform past, present, and future life readings in relation to love and career. My specialty is Evidential Mediumship! This is where I can connect others to loved ones who have passed away and relay messages from beyond. These are my most beautiful appointments, and truth be told, I often cry with my clients. Another unique gift of mine is identifying medical concerns within my clients, I’m able to identify hormonal imbalances all the way to underlying causes of inflammation. As it relates to Spiritual Coaching, I assist my clients in changing their perspectives and tapping into their confidence. I’m able to illuminate their “perceived weakness” as their ultimate strength. Whether that is past trauma, fears, ego based beliefs, we tap in and dissect these blockages so they can really move towards their goals. I also provide coaching to those new on their spiritual journey and learning how to utilize their gifts.

This led my friend Khrystal and I to create Run the World, Womens Empowerment. We love planning and hosting events to bring women together. Whether you have a small business, looking to become an entrepreneur, or wanting to find your tribe after divorce, we got you. We love turning up and having a great time, but we also try to include a speaker that can briefly educate on a topic the collective feels is valuable. More recently, we partnered with the National Action Network Las Vegas chapter and serve as their Business Department chairs. We’re so excited to make more opportunities available to the community as it relates to financial literacy.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Oh wow! One, I would have to say allowing peace to be my validation. This allowed me to follow the path of least resistance. If it is causing you internal conflict, making you second guess yourself, or just doesn’t feel aligned…Let it go with love. No shade no hate, just distance yourself. A lot of times we try to keep people, places, things, or even old identities in our life way beyond their expiration date because were afraid of what happens next. This makes the separation that much more difficult. I liken it to grabbing a thorn, it stings you, you say ouch, and keep it moving; let it go. But imagine if you grab the thorn, get stung, and grip it tighter dragging it through your palm because you’re afraid to release. This is damaging causing much more pain than necessary.

Number two, was the realization that my dreams matter too! If not me, who? Work towards your own dreams always, no matter how big or small the step. The important thing is pouring into yourself. Setbacks are temporary and often times they’re only as important as the emphasis you place on them. Visualize your highest goal, work at it and do it consistently. Do it through being tired, do it through the uncertainty, but do it! Reward is always on the other side, especially when you have great intentions.

Third thing, I would have to say is confidence. Be confident that you are the best! When you walk in a room, when it comes time to speak, whatever it is. And it’s no shade to anyone else, it’s about recognizing that you are uniquely you, and there is no one else in the world exactly like you. What you have to contribute and share is valuable, and you have to believe that wholeheartedly. When I really began viewing myself this way, I saw others through this lens too. It’s made me so much more appreciative and able to be more understanding with others also. There is so much beauty and richness to all of us.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

My ultimate goal as the Sin City Medium is to have my own show performing readings across the country. As I work towards this goal and create my highlight reel for network negotiation, I’m looking for clients that are open to having their sessions recorded.
