Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angel Sessions. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Angel, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?
My self-discipline comes from my heavenly Father God himself. As I read his word in the bible he guides me into all truth. In this dark and cold world, we live in, you must have self-discipline and not give in to all the noise and negativity on social media and the world. Some people may try to guide you down the wrong path. You must stay on the point of your goals and do it for a purpose. My purpose is to make people happy and share God’s word through the music I release.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a National and International Recording Artist and songwriter. I own my own Record Label with two other founding Partners, Demetrius Guidry and Rodney F Crews called, Atlas Elite Entertainment LLC. I managed two other artists on my label and took care of all the daily label business for our Record Company. I feel the most exciting about what I do is I can release my music and share it with the world. It is also special to me because I manage two other artists. My beautiful daughter, Princess of Atlas Elite Entertainment 5x award nominee R&B recording artist, Shardella Sessions. Hip-hop recording artist and Prince of Atlas Elite Entertainment, Big Wae had a #1 National Wide Radio hit song, called, Relax. On February 14th on our Orcard/Sony Music Distribution, we are releasing a new single on Shardella Sessions called, I Like. It’s a beautiful love song and great for the Valentine’s lovers out there who love sharing love. I just released on January 10th, 2025 my Christian/Gospel single called, Why Don’t You Wait. On March 14th, 2025 I will be releasing another Gospel song called, Well Done.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities, and skills that were most impactful in my journey is learning more about the music business. The may be those who think running your label and being successful in doing so, is easy. But it’s not. There are lots of things you must do and learn to gain success and maintain it. As an independent Record Label, you may run into areas of problems but keep in mind, that the internet can be your teaching tool to learn the things you may not know. I find it very helpful for me.
My advice to give to folks who are early in their journey to best improve on anything is to not be afraid to use the global internet to learn all you can so that you can do things the right way.
If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
No there is no particular challenge I am currently facing. I consider myself a go-get-it. That means I do not wait for someone to do things for me or expect things to work themselves out without the work behind it. I love a challenge when it comes to my field of work and I love learning more things because the music industry is always changing.
