We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jaiden Smith. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jaiden below.
Jaiden, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
I’ve found that the best way to overcome creative blocks is by completely shifting gears and focusing on something new and unrelated. When I hit a wall creatively, I make a deliberate choice to step away from the task at hand and immerse myself in a different activity that captures my attention. This shift often refreshes my mind and sparks new ideas.
As someone who juggles multiple roles—being a flight attendant, model, writer, and advocate—my daily schedule can be quite hectic. Despite the time constraints, I always make it a point to carve out moments for new hobbies or creative outlets. Whether it’s exploring a new skill, picking up a craft, or diving into something entirely different, I find that these small breaks allow me to return to my primary work with renewed energy and perspective. Balancing these passions, even within a limited time frame, is something I genuinely enjoy, as it keeps my mind engaged and constantly evolving.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hello, my name is Jaiden Z. Smith. I am a 21-year-old flight attendant, runway and campaign model, published author, endometriosis advocate, and full-time student based in South Carolina. I am truly honored to be featured and share my journey with you. My story is unique not only because of my age but also due to my ability to balance multiple roles simultaneously. I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can inspire others to pursue their passions and manage their busy schedules with determination and resilience.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
In my journey, three key skills played a pivotal role in shaping my progress and success: time management, the ability to be alone most of the time, and the will to want to learn and remain open to new ideas.
Time Management: Managing time effectively was essential to balancing responsibilities, meeting deadlines, and achieving my goals. It required me to prioritize tasks, set realistic timelines, and avoid procrastination. This skill taught me discipline and helped me create a structure that maximized productivity, allowing me to stay focused on what mattered most.
The Ability to Be Alone: Spending a significant amount of time alone allowed me to reflect, grow, and focus on personal development. While solitude can feel isolating at times, it also provided clarity and the opportunity to work on my goals without external distractions. It taught me self-reliance and helped me build resilience, as I learned to trust myself and my decisions.
The Will to Learn and Stay Open: A key factor in my journey was cultivating the mindset to embrace learning and remain open to new experiences. Whether it involved acquiring new skills, gaining fresh perspectives, or stepping out of my comfort zone, this willingness to adapt and grow ensured that I was always improving. It reinforced the idea that every challenge is an opportunity for growth, pushing me to continuously strive for better.
These three skills not only guided me through challenges but also shaped my mindset, enabling me to navigate life with purpose and determination.
Embarking on a new journey can feel daunting, but for anyone driven by passion, my advice is as follows: First, cultivate patience as it will be essential in navigating challenges and achieving your goals. Second, remain flexible and adaptable, as change is inevitable and often necessary for growth. Third, prioritize your own personal path and well-being, ensuring you stay grounded and focused on what truly matters. Lastly, don’t dwell on who supports you and who doesn’t—your progress is for you, and true passion thrives regardless of external validation.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Absolutely! I am always eager to collaborate with fellow creatives. Whether you’re a photographer or designer seeking a model, a radio station host looking for compelling stories, or a social media content creator in need of fresh ideas, I am open and excited to explore new projects together.
