Meet Wiseonearjay

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Wiseonearjay a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi WiseOneArjay , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

“Developing my confidence and self-esteem has been a journey of self-discovery and growth. I’ve learned to embrace my unique voice and talents, understanding that my path is meant to be different from anyone else’s. Faith plays a huge role in my life—knowing that God has a purpose for me gives me the strength to push through challenges.

Overcoming obstacles has also been key. Each setback has taught me resilience and reminded me of my ability to rise stronger. Surrounding myself with positive influences and supporters who believe in me has been vital, as well as celebrating my small wins along the way.

Lastly, my music is a powerful outlet. It allows me to express my truth and connect with people, which fuels my confidence and reminds me why I do this. Confidence isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being authentic and unapologetically you.”

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As an artist, my journey has always been about storytelling and connecting with people on a deep level. I create music that reflects my experiences, faith, and the realities of life, hoping to inspire and resonate with my audience. My latest album, Teachers Pet, has been a milestone for me, featuring hit songs like See Your Face, Heart Grows Heavy, and Not Too Much. Each track tells a story, blending raw emotion with unique vibes that keep listeners hooked.

What makes my work special is its authenticity. I’m not afraid to tackle real-life issues or celebrate life’s blessings. Music is my outlet and my way of building a community that feels understood and uplifted.

Professionally, I’m focused on growing my platform and engaging with supporters in meaningful ways. Recently, I signed a distribution deal and revamped my approach to connecting with fans, offering incentives to those who consistently support. I’m also working on expanding my reach through collaborations, live performances, and new releases on platforms like SoundCloud.

I want people to know that my brand is about more than just music—it’s about perseverance, faith, and living your truth. Stay tuned for what’s next because the journey is only beginning, and I’m excited to keep creating and sharing with the world.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, authenticity, and vision.

Resilience has been crucial because the road isn’t always smooth. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and challenges that tested my commitment. Staying focused, praying through the tough times, and refusing to give up were key. My advice is to embrace failure as a part of growth and never let a setback define you. Learn from it, adapt, and keep moving forward.

Authenticity has set me apart. Staying true to who I am and what I believe in has allowed me to create music that connects with people. For anyone starting out, I’d say don’t chase trends or try to fit into someone else’s mold. Your uniqueness is your superpower—lean into it and let it shine.

Vision is what drives everything I do. Having a clear sense of where I’m going and what I want to achieve keeps me motivated. For those just starting, take time to set goals and map out your path. Even if the vision evolves, having a direction will keep you grounded and focused on what matters most.

Remember, it’s a journey. Be patient, stay hungry, and trust that the work you put in today will pay off tomorrow.”

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months has been my ability to stay consistent and focused on my goals. Over the past year, I’ve learned how to better manage my time and prioritize what truly matters, whether it’s creating music, connecting with my supporters, or pushing my brand forward.

I’ve also grown in my ability to take risks and step outside of my comfort zone. Signing a distribution deal, revamping my approach to social media, and releasing my hit album Teachers Pet were all bold moves that required me to trust my vision and take action.

Another major area of improvement has been understanding the importance of collaboration and building relationships. Working with talented artists like Babyy Ace, Earlybird, and Bando has not only enhanced my music but also taught me the value of teamwork and shared creativity.

This year has been about leveling up in every way—mentally, spiritually, and professionally. I’ve learned that growth is a continuous process, and I’m committed to becoming better every day.”
