Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kristina Hartman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Kristina, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I’ve cultivated my work ethic through personal experiences and professional growth. I believe in always striving to exceed expectations, being dependable, and maintaining a positive attitude even in challenging situations. I find fulfillment in contributing to a team’s success and seeing a project through to completion.
Ultimately, my work ethic is driven by my desire to continuously improve, uphold integrity, and create meaningful outcomes in whatever I do.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m the founder of Wandering Taps, a mobile bar and beverage service that brings a unique and memorable experience to events of all kinds. We specialize in crafting custom drink menus, serving from beautifully converted bar setups, and providing exceptional hospitality. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or private celebration, our mission is to create moments that people savor and cherish.
What I find most exciting about Wandering Taps is the blend of creativity and connection. Every event is an opportunity to curate an experience that’s not just about the drinks—it’s about bringing people together, celebrating milestones, and creating an atmosphere that feels truly special. I’m passionate about combining rustic charm with modern flair, which reflects not only our brand but also the type of gatherings we help make unforgettable.
Outside of Wandering Taps, I’m a wife and proud mom of two. My family keeps me grounded and inspired every day. We love spending time in the mountains, whether hiking, camping, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. That sense of adventure and appreciation for life’s simple joys plays a big role in how I approach my business as well.
As for what’s new, we’re constantly exploring ways to elevate our offerings. We’re also looking forward to participating in more community events, where we can share our passion with even more people.
Thank you for letting me share my story. Wandering Taps is more than a business—it’s a reflection of my love for connection, creativity, and celebration. I’m excited about what the future holds and hope to continue making events extraordinary for years to come.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities have been especially impactful in my journey as the founder of Wandering Taps: adaptability, creativity, and relationship-building.
Adaptability: The journey of starting and growing a business comes with constant change and unexpected challenges. Being able to pivot, learn from setbacks, and remain flexible has been critical. For those just starting, my advice is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Focus on problem-solving and don’t be afraid to try new approaches when things don’t go as planned.
Creativity: Building a brand like Wandering Taps required thinking outside the box to stand out in a competitive industry. From designing unique mobile bars to curating memorable drink menus, creativity has been at the heart of what we do. My advice here is to let your passion fuel your ideas. Study your industry, experiment, and don’t shy away from injecting your personality into your work. It’s often the unique touches that resonate most with clients.
Relationship-Building: Success in the events industry—and most industries—depends on cultivating strong relationships. Whether it’s connecting with clients, collaborating with vendors, or engaging with the community, fostering trust and genuine connections has made all the difference. My advice is to focus on authenticity. Be approachable, listen to others’ needs, and always follow through on your commitments. Relationships often open doors to opportunities you might not have imagined.
For anyone early in their journey, I’d also emphasize the importance of continuous learning. Seek out mentors, listen to feedback, and never stop improving. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with persistence, openness, and a willingness to adapt, you’ll build something you’re proud of.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
At Wandering Taps, we’re always excited to collaborate with other vendors and businesses to create exceptional experiences for our clients. Whether it’s partnering with event planners, florists, photographers, or venues, we believe in the power of teamwork to bring unique visions to life.
As a proud veteran-owned company, we’re especially passionate about supporting and collaborating with fellow veteran-owned businesses. It’s incredibly meaningful to work alongside those who share a commitment to service and excellence, and we’re always looking for ways to uplift and support one another in the business community.
