Meet Jr Garcia

We recently connected with Jr Garcia and have shared our conversation below.

Hi JR , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I believe to be a great entrepreneur you must first be a great a sales man which means you must get acquainted with the term no. Thousands of doors have been shut in my face but what makes a successful businessmen is the ability to walk up to the next one and have a resilient. ind. I am lucky enough to have my resilience from my mother. As a hispanic women in business she had to earn the respect from her colleagues which wasn’t the easiest of task especially being that she worked in the construction industry which is predominately a male dominated field. Most would see that as a con of the job but not my mother. She faces adversity head on with reckless abandon. Through some miracle I got her intutuison and wit which has helped tremendously in my industry.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am the CEO and founder of JR Technology which is a digital marketing agency that focuses one building up Texas companies to further expand the Texas reach. We were established in 2021 and have been pioneering in the Lone Star State ever since. I also own part of Resideo Holdings, a wholesale real estate company, helping the financially burdened Americans get back on their feet and giving the less fortunate an opportunity at a fresh start. I recently bought a stake in Bad Decision Worse Consequences a local ambitious fashion designer located in San Antonio who will be dropping their first line in March 2025. Furthermore I will be receiving my real estate license before graduation.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

3 skills an entrepreneur must master is networking, sales, and strategizing/organizing. Networking is crucial for new business owners as the saying goes “You gotta network to get work,” many people say it’s money that makes the world spin but they are wrong, it’s handshakes made by strong connections that make this world spin. Shake every hand, leave a business card whenever you can. People should be sick of your face when you network. Sales is vital to the survival of a company but more importantly closing. Your closers must know how to properly close a deal in a profitable manner. No sales and business is as good as dead. How do you make sales you may ask? Network and strategies, why do we network? Because our strategy says to boost sales. It’s a constant cycle. You need all three at full throttle to be successful

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My therapist has been a tremendous help as well as my family and friends. Collaboration is a very powerful tool especially during a dry creative spell, simply having someone to bounce ideas off of gives you an outside perspective which is refreshing to the mind. It’s lonely in your own head and you can fall into a trance of doubt, anxiety, and hardcore stress without even realizing you’re in crisis. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work on my mental health and plan on continuing my mental health journey with my therapist. Mental health is something we value at JR Technology because we understand sadness is not the only negative emotion someone can feel. Emotions are not a choice but our reaction towards those emotions are 100% our choice,
