Meet Denzel Kazeze

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Denzel Kazeze. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Denzel , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Well what I can say about my personal take on it is that my resilience stemmed from overcoming other obstacles within my own personal life at a young age.

I grew up with my mother mostly and I had a younger brother at the time who had cerebral palsy and also a tad bit of a touch of spastic seizure disorder as well.

He helped me overcome a lot within my own life because of how strong he was when he had to undergo surgeries. He has had over 5 surgeries within his lifetime. From having a g tube surgery, to having to also have rods placed in his back because of scoliosis as well.

I saw there was no excuse to not chase after my dreams as a young kid, so I decided to use resilience, and also invest within myself by continuing to focus in on my schooling, and also focus in on my career as well despite having ups and downs within first starting off within it.

That is truly where I believe my resilience came from for sure.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Well starting off with the explanation of work I do currently I would tell a person that I am a working actor, and also a stage performer entertainer as well.

Since I am the young age of 20 right now I still have a lot of stamina on when it comes to stage performances. I currently do a lot of on screen work and I have branched way more into on screen for the last two years, but if there was an opportunity that did present itself for a theater show that would be maybe broadway, I would take upon that offer. I am mostly on screen nowadays though.

Diving more into my story I would say as a young kid who had a brother with special needs as I mentioned earlier on, he motivated me, he gave me resilience, he gave me strength physically and mentally, and he also gave me power to strive for anything I ever wanted within this lifetime.

So from a young age of only 5 I stood infront of the television screen watching greats like Micheal Jackson, and also Bernie Mac. They are apart of different genres but they are considered to be the best at their genres. That is always what I continued to aim for, because I saw people who were considered the best and I wanted to be just that.

So from a young age of 5 I watched their precision on their moves when being on stage or also on screen. I never took it as fun and games even though I was a kid, ha, and from that moment on it kind of told me how I would be going into my adulthood for sure. Again though I would say those two inspired who people are gonna see as Denzel kazeze.

Another great of whom I respect heavily would be Denzel Washington of course haha, and that isn’t just because of the comparisons, but more or so he is considered to be a great dramatic/ comedic without trying, and so is Leonardo DiCaprio.

So if anyone wanted to ask of where Denzel takes tips from and whom he watched as a kid it would be all of those greats.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Now one thing I can truly say is that when I was younger I developed a set of skills that made me the person I am today. Starting with my work ethic, then moving onto my charisma, and then also my self discipline.

All three of these qualities I will say made me grow as a person overall. Having a good work ethic is always good for the simple fact you can aim to get better at whatever that may be for yourself each time. Having good work ethic leads to promotion, and it also helps you learn more about the career you are in and it also teaches you more about yourself.

Charisma was another good factor simply because it keeps me going even when I am alone and I have to do things on my own. Charisma is a great quality that anyone should build on in my opinion, and then moving into self discipline.

This thing called self discipline worked in my favor many times. There were always times of temptation when I was in high school, and also in college as well but I told myself there would be a day of where all of this hard work I am currently putting in would pay off.

So these qualities I would say molded me and they continue to provide more growth for me as an individual, and I would suggest these qualities for anyone who may have them. I would tell the next person that they are and will continue to succeed if they embrace any good quality they may have.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

I would say my mother for sure, and this is simply based on how supportive, caring, and encouraging she has been to me all of these years. She has been this way towards my dreams and also my goals for twenty years. This is how long I’ve been on this earth by the way.

She encourages me still to do things that will benefit me, and I believe anyone who has a strong parent or aunt/uncle in their life they will have a good chance at success.

Having someone whom you may know who is supportive is always good because they will motivate you to do what needs to be done within your life, and that is why I thank my mother anytime I get the chance too, because she made me into a great man for this entire world.

I make sure to give that same support she gave me to others that I care and adore.
