Meet Cade Curtis

We were lucky to catch up with Cade Curtis recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Cade, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I have developed a strong sense of self-confidence by setting SMART goals that are both achievable and clearly defined, which gives me a sense of direction and accomplishment. Embracing challenges, even tough ones, has taught me resilience and helped me grow through difficult experiences. I consistently practice positive self-talk, reminding myself of my strengths and capabilities, which uplifts my spirit and motivates me. Learning from my mistakes has transformed perceived failures into valuable lessons, allowing me to approach future endeavors with a constructive mindset. Surrounding myself with positive, supportive people has created a nurturing environment that encourages my growth and build self-esteem. Additionally, prioritizing my physical and emotional well-being through self-care has empowered me to face life’s challenges with confidence and a balanced perspective.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m thrilled to dive into the world of podcasting, where I have the incredible opportunity to help others share their joys, hobbies, and unique experiences. Every two weeks, I release new episodes that give my guests a platform to tell their stories. It’s a joy to hear their insights and passions, and I can’t wait for you to tune in and be inspired by the wonderful narratives we create together!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Throughout my journey in podcasting, I’ve found that three key qualities have been incredibly impactful: listening, being present, and the willingness to put yourself out there.

Here are some tips on how to develop these skills: Practice Active Listening: Focus fully on the speaker without thinking about what you will say next. Nod your head or use verbal affirmations to show engagement. Practice Mindfulness: Incorporate mindfulness exercises, like deep breathing or meditation, into your routine. These practices can help you stay grounded in the moment. and Start Small: Begin by sharing your thoughts or experiences with friends or small groups. This can build your confidence before stepping into a larger platform like a podcast.

By developing these skills, you’ll not only enhance your journey but also deepen the connections you make along the way.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was being present, available, and open-minded as I navigated the journey of discovering my identity. They gave me the space to explore my interests, ask questions, and express my thoughts without judgment. This supportive environment allowed me to develop a strong sense of self and the confidence to pursue what truly resonates with me. Their willingness to listen and engage in meaningful conversations has been a guiding light, helping me understand who I am and what I value. Their presence and understanding made all the difference as I sought to find my place in the world.
