We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gourav Gola a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Gourav, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

I believe it comes from within. When you’re doing what you love, you don’t have to search for motivation or positivity—they naturally follow. One of my favorite quotes perfectly captures this:

“Try and fail, but don’t fail to try.”

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am the founder of Unbelievable-Facts.com, which began as a hobby in 2012 to share interesting and unique stories with the world. Over time, it grew into a platform where people can discover fascinating facts on topics like science, history, entertainment, and society.

What sets Unbelievable Facts apart is our focus on sharing verified and engaging content that sparks curiosity. From bizarre stories to surprising facts, there’s something for everyone.

Today, we have over 9 million followers on Facebook and are continuously growing, with plans to reach even more people through new platforms and content formats.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three Most Important Qualities, Skills, and/or Areas of Knowledge

Consistency: Regularly creating and sharing content helped build trust and grow the platform. Start small, but stay consistent.

Adaptability: Things change quickly online. Being open to new trends and tools made a big difference. Be ready to experiment and learn.

Understanding the Audience: Knowing what people want and delivering value is key. Listen to feedback and focus on quality.

These three things can make a big impact when starting out.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take a step back and focus on what’s important. The first thing I do is ensure I’m adhering to the content policy of the platform I’m working on. Each platform has its own style and specific types of content that go viral. I analyze what works, then adjust my strategy accordingly.

For anyone feeling overwhelmed, my advice is to simplify your approach, focus on one thing at a time, and align your efforts with the platform’s strengths and trends.
