Meet Scooby Austin

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Scooby Austin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Scooby, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

Sometimes you may always do something that you love, but you don’t know your purpose until later on in life, cause it took 2023 when my dad first was in the hospital over the summer and then during the fall/winter when we found out that he was having heart problems December 31, 2023 we found out he was on hospice me and my siblings and then 2024 February 1. He passed and I was supposed to drop an album on his birthday June 30 but I couldn’t because I kept thinking about him and I almost wanted to give up, but I kept hearing push because of him and so I dropped it in September and now I know my call is to do content in music mainly because he seemed greatness in all of his kids and if you love to do something or if you are doing something for a loved one that you really care about keep going because you never know what or who may be inspired by the things or what you say or how you do it so keep going and never give up because greater is in you and you will always be great. Remember that.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Well, my brand and what I’m focused on is that I remember starting off in 2020 with a young and gifted which I thought was going to be my brand name and I remember dropping some instrumental albums and I was not really into it like I should’ve been, and I was doing music and producing and making beats and all that stuff But I remember that I didn’t know if I really wanted to do it or not and then 2022 came and I remember producing my first album for an artist and I made all of the beats on their album and something said that people are going to get blessed by what you do and so 2023 I dropped my first album with six artist on it and I produced the whole thing I didn’t make any songs on there. I made all the beats and they did all of the writing and recording and that’s when I realized that that is something I wanted to do and even in that same year was when I had to rebrand because I lost the name because it got hacked so I ended up listening to God and he told me just to go by Scooby Austin because he said that you don’t need a special name for people to recognize you, but you can be recognized by your actual name and so som August 2023 was when things changed and I started going by Scooby Austin and now look I have grown more than I did when I was under the name. Scooby beats with a Z and I love it because I’ve met so many people last year new people and also written songs for people even this year coming and I’m excited to see where God takes me with my producing also outside of that writing for people, and also making album covers and stuff for people, my content, creation and graphic design design, because if you really want to do something and you love to do something go for it don’t give up but keep going because somebody is going to be blessed by what you do what you say and how you say it and how you do it just be you and be great and never give up on the things that you wanna do because at the end of the day what you do is what you love to do and what you love to do is something that you are going to do for the rest of your life and it’s going to reach people if you put in the work if you don’t put in the work, you’re not gonna get no results so do what you love and put in the work

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

so what impacted me in my journey of music and content was one when I had to change my name and all my stuff got hacked, and I had to make all new content in the last two years, and I’ve seen a big growth in that time and miss some amazing people within that time too but also at the same time God had me go through the downtime where I lost my last name that I had to get this new name, Scooby Austin because he said that a name don’t define who you are but a name is where you are going you don’t need a special name when you could just use your actual name in a sense and also meeting new people this past year help me too because if it wasn’t for some of the people that I met last year, I probably wouldn’t be where I am now and I’m glad that I am where I am now because of my growth and because of me listening to God and him allowing new people to come in my life, which is great and I love it

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

so this one is great and an ideal client well that really don’t define you because at the end of the day yes is great to work with somebody big that you always wanted to work with but at the same time you can also work with that person and sometimes that song or that thing or that place that you are in Sometimes isn’t great and you have to grow to get that thing great and then other times you may blow up because of who you work with is not always who you work with because you can work with somebody. That’s not a Grammy winner. You can work with somebody that’s new in the game and y’all can make a banger a popular song or just something trendy like you don’t have to be one of them people that work with somebody big just to get your name out there sometimes you can make a 15 second song and put it on TikTok and you blow up. You don’t need some big name artist to help you cause at the end of the day people are going to look up to you and not who you work with yes is good to work with people, but at the end of the day, what is your legacy going to leave? What impact are you going to have on people? Is it gonna be because of a name or is it gonna be because you put in the work and you helped people you don’t really need a legacy to define who you are because at the end of the day God is your legacy he is the one that will have you go places seat, places do things and be great so don’t let a name define you because you can be great without a name defining you.
